these pictures don't even do the hack job justice. I'm not usually the one to write a review on a negative experience but this one i just couldn't not say anything, people need to be warned. I was in a pinch and my usual salon had no appointments available so i desperately made one here; which i'll never do again. Upon arrival, i was nicely greeted and seated. After a short consultation(where she was scrolling through my camera roll which in all fairness could have been an accident), and the lady telling my my hair was a difficult length, she started on my wash. The wash took about 3 minutes total and in that time soap got in my eye, water was going down by back under my sweatshirt, and the lady's arm kept was against my face the whole time washing my hair. Odd but I ignored it. Once i sat down the lady started to detangle my hair (the way she wrapped my hair in the towel knotted it horribly) she was pulling so hard i started to get a headache. When it came to the cut, she just started to chop. she took about 5 inches off and then proceeded to ask me after if the length was okay. (well it had to be okay, my hair was already gone!!!) anxiously, i said it was okay and she started to chop "layers" she was chopping so much off and so fast i was so nervous. Then (disaster number 3) she started to blow dry my hair with this bristle brush that was scraping my face, neck and ears so much after my boyfriend asked my what happened to my cheek, it was genuinely scraped and i'm upset i did not think to get a picture of it in the moment. not to mention the blow drier burning my scalp every time she'd go for a different section. I'm not confrontational so i just sat it out and hoped for the best. when it was all done i put my glasses back on and looked. in the moment it looked alright but when i got to the car, i started balling. I've never had a worse cut in my life. she had styled it at the salon in a way where you couldn't see the mess ups. she put the front pieces behind me so they were sort of pulled back. If i had seen it like this at the salon i wouldn't have tipped; which i have never not tipped, im a huge tipper and believe in giving back to people who do you a service. I've been to this location maybe a handful of times within the past 8 years or so and have never experienced this and i'm never going back. Id rather a "hair stylist" deny a service rather than attempt it and mess up my hair. my hair is at least 6 different lengths right now and very very very uneven. i've never felt less confident after a hair cut i just want to cry. my mom is so upset over the hack job she did, i have to go get it fixed.

Won't be back.

Got my haircut but one side seems shorter than the other so I went back to get it fixed.. The Stylist accused me of chopping at my own hair which I did not and came up with the hypothesis that perhaps I stunted the hair grows because I sucked on that side of the head a scientific theory I had not heard of before.

Why can't some people just except a mistake and fix it. What happened to customer service?

I am from other country and I was very nervous about cut my hair but I Need it and my color too, i went on Sunday at 3 pm , Elle the manager take my appointment she cut my hair and get my color done , she is the best made me feel very comfortable and like if she cut my hair since forever, u can see that she loves and knows what is she doing !!! for now and then she is going to be my stylist here in USA , the best decision ever !!!

I've been going to FS in Wakefield since my other long time Salon closed due to retirement of the owner.Because they also offer Sunday hours it fits my busy work schedule. I've gotten to know Natalia, Ellen, and some of the other women who have worked there a long time. I've always been treated respectfully and am happy with the cuts, they do my color also and it is well done-lasts 4-5 weeks no problems. It is clean and they try hard to move along and efficiently serve customers.  NM

Worst customer service. Took two stylist 45 minutes to do a simple low bun. They were commenting on how slippery my hair was yet they only put in two bobby pins. It fell out 10 minutes after I left. When I called and let them know what happened they said someone would call me back. They never did. I called again and spoke with Ellen, the assistant manager and she said Melissa (the manager) would call me back. After going back and forth they eventually offered a blowout - which I didn't want, especially given my past experience. I asked to either be refunded or given a gift card. Melissa said that sounded appropriate and she would talk to the owner and get back to me. She never called me back. When I called I spoke with Ellen again, I explained that I felt like I was being blown off and they were ignoring me, she assured me that wasn't the case and Melissa would call me back. Surprise surprise, she never did. When I went into the shop Melissa said she had thrown out my number and wouldn't offer a refund or gift card. Avoid this place - if they can't do a simple low bun, do you really want them cut or coloring your hair?
