Family Nails & Spa in Derwood, MD

Loved this place! For the first time I really love my dip nails, whenever you go here ask for Anna you can definitely tell that she loves doing nails and will take her time so that they look perfect. Definitely going back even though it's 35 mins away, it's worth the drive.

After the stressful pedicure at another salon, I was asking neighbors about other options. Family Nail came up several times. So, I made an appointment for a weekday at 5pm. Perfect time cause I was the only one there! Even then, the staff were masked and they have plexiglass at all manicure and pedicure stations. The pedicure station has 8 chairs, but 2 of them had pillows on them to keep things more spaced out. The pedicure chairs were comfy. I don't often use the massage feature but I did for a little bit. The lighting is bright and there was pleasant music playing. Since I was the only one there, my appointment was on time. Tina came out to greet me and asked me to pick a color. They do have OPI and Essie along with some others. I usually pick two colors and Tina helped me find a purple this time to go along with the teal I had selected. The pedicure itself was relaxing. Tina has a softer touch which is fine. I'm sure if I had asked her to go harder she would have. Tina did a great job on my pedicure. She took the time to make sure my toe nails matched when she trimmed them. She made my toes look great and I could actually go without polish. But, the polish looks great and she was able to put a few flowers on my big toes. My pedicures usually last a few weeks. We'll see how long this one lasts! Friend was getting her hair done at the salon next door and knew I'd be there. So she did stop by. She ended up getting a quick manicure. She was happy with her manicure and it was fairly quick. I was still getting my pedicure and her manicure was already done. I stayed a little longer to let the polish dry. Very happy with Family Nails and will be going back again.

Tony and Tina are absolutely wonderful, they always treat me like I'm family. This is by far the best nail salon I have been too and I will continue to be a loyal customer. I get so many compliments on my nails and I always tell them go see Tina at Family nails she is the best.

TONY is wonderful! He waited until I got there even though they were closing the nail salon. He gave me a pedicure which I wanted. I left the nail salon I was at to go here. He offered me and my friend a complimentary drink. I finally got his name once I called back because I messed up my toe somehow when I left and it wasn't dried. I called a day after. TONY said he's busy and booked until 8 to fix my toes but he said someone else will take care of it. I said umm because I wanted Tony to fix my toes. He told me not to worry and that another technician will fix it and will make it look pretty! He did a good job on my pedicure and the leg massage was great. I think he and his wife run this business. In my opinion, They are the friendliest professional nail technicians to come across. They don't talk behind your back. These are my top 3 favorite nail salons in this area! This rates 2nd! When I called he said tell your friend I said hi! I wish this place was closer to where I live! I recommend to come here. This is a hidden gem.
