Emajs Unisex Salon and Boutique in Derwood, MD

I moved into the Maryland area and I was looking for a new stylist- so I decided to give Emajs hair salon a chance. The salon is conveniently located on Rockville Pike in the salon plaza. I recently had a sew in weave done by Angie and she is amazing! My hair is a lighter brown color so she lightened the weave hair for me and explained every detail to me. She is great with using the blowdrying technique to blend in your natural hair with the weave hair to make the hair look natural. I have received many compliments on my hair. Angie is extremely friendly and is a hair magician! She is the best!

Angela is a great hair stylist. I never used to wait long and she knows her stuff. I've had wash and style when I used to relax my hair (I've gone natural now). Her weaves are on point too. Totally recommend her!

I went to this hairdresser back a few years. Well to make a long story short. I liked the hair, i did notice she would not let me see who manufactured the hair. Then to make matters worse. I went back a second time and I was lied to about the cost, and that she the hairdresser had some current sale price. Well, second visit hair was removed by me at home and washed at home by I, it, etc, and put back in the same hair, by hair dresser of course. To make it short and to the point, my husband gave her his card and she proceeded to charge 390.00, that was not what she told me!!!. I asked my husband later, after I happen to see the receipt on our dresser. I thought maybe he paid for something else? And when he told me what that were the charge I was so disgusted with the woman. I called her and sent her an email, respectful to ask why such a large charge? She not I acted real unprofessional, when in to telling me what kind of hair it were and that I was not going to get that kind of etc..., I started to stop payment but didn't. I guess she needed the money.I felt a vibe from her and her spouse on that day I came in to get my hair done. The hustle in her and spouse were clear to me when I first met them. I assumed it was me just being careful. Litte did I kow that she had charged my husband what she had, no wonder she was so happy, she and her spouse, as we left. I will never recommend anyone to this person.
