Eutopia Color & Extension Specialty Salon in Baton Rouge, LA

so i have been getting my hair done here sporadically for about a year and a half and had one experience that wasn't too awesome... i posted pictures so you could see. the first picture is what i asked for and the second is what i got (it's purple like that because i tried to color my own hair with splat and it didn't turn out great. it's been over a year since that cut and my hair is still growing back. i have since switched stylists and meghan is amazing!

i do recommend Eutopia! It is a tad expensive and somehow the total always ends up being way more than what i estimated by the prices online but this salon is just so convenient and the staff is so nice!

I'll start by being nice.

Clean facility, friendly staff and a good vibe within the store itself.

Now for the truth;

I came in a few months ago to get a simple blunt bob, and for some god forsaken reason I got layers (short on top, longer on my bottom layers) and they were so fucking choppy that people thought I did it myself and was having a mental breakdown. I wish that was a joke. It's been 6 months and my hair is barely grown back to a length where if I cut it, it would all be even in a bob, that's how short they cut the top pieces of my hair.

You also gave me side bangs. Which made me, a college student, look like my mother who was born in the 50s. And even she thought it looked bad. This salon rather much ruined my life for a little bit because let's face it, looks are important to our day to day life and everyone I interacted with felt bad for me because of this hair cut.

I just wanted a clean bob angled downwards in the front and instead I got the worst choppy-ass haircut known to man.

I'm still dealing with the consequences of choosing them, over a year later. I scheduled a last minute appointment in February 2021 when I got rained out of work while I was working in the area (I've been going to the same hair dresser in Texas for 10 years but she was on maternity leave and I was working out of state). I showed the stylist what I wanted, a pretty simple balayage highlight with a money piece. I sat for 4 hours with bleach in my hair while the stylists laughed and ordered, received, and ate their lunch delivery. When the stylist finally came back, we went and she washed the bleach out and I went and sat back in her chair. My hair was literally disintegrating between my fingers when I touched it. My hair was completely healthy when I went in, and I left with fried, over processed, super blonde hair, which is not what I asked for. And to top it off, they charged me $400 because she said she had to "tone it twice." I've been using Olaplex treatments and haven't colored my hair in a year because of them, and I am still going to have to cut it off because of how damaged it is. Save your money and your hair and go somewhere else.

ZERO IS MY RATING!!! I never gotten a chance to get service from here bc my daughter was turn down from being an African-American.  The guy that I was talking to didn't even ask me any question about anything but my daughter age and he told me he seen my pictures from social media and they don't do african-american hair.  Idk what picture he was looking at but my daughter is indeed half african-american and half asian but her hair is nowhere near african-american.  He can never answer me with straight answer why he had to snoop around my profile and just me questions and then even when I told him that she didn't have that type of hair he still keep saying they don't do african-american hair.  So, unprofessional.  So sad for people like this.  It's very disgusting.  I shouldn't be surprise anymore but I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt and they always disapppoint me

Wonderful experience. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Meghan did a color gloss and Kelsey cut and styled it. They both did a great job on my dry, gray and dull hair! Thank you so much girls, hope to see you again soon!
