This place isn't worth it!!!! I don't see how they are still in business m. A friend came and got extremely bad service and quality!!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE
Their is only a few times in my life a hair salon/stylist stands out to me. This is It. I'm a Vegas stylist that lives here in Lousiana looking for weave in extensions. This is the place the owner was wonderful, front desk was so polite and my stylist gets a A+. I believe she goes by Lay Lay...will diffently go back to get!!!
I just wanted to say thanks all the staff for such a great experience , I will be back!
Informative and Professional
NEVER get your nails or toes done here ! Bought a Groupon and I had to get my money back. The nail tech was so nice but work was terrible. Took 4 hours to do 2 mani and pedis. If you like your money don't go here.
I will not be going back. In this economy, I refuse to settle for bad customer service.

I'll pref\ace the following review with this:
I am a concierge pet groomer. I don't have a website or a company Facebook because my clients are all word of mouth, and so they know I'm not making money off of "who I know" instead of my skills.
I do dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, horses... I've even bathed an iguana once (it needed to bathed in a medicated shampoo from a vet and the owner was afraid of being bit and I have anti-bite gear).
I have corded Havanese and braid up dogs to protect the growth when they are growing out for show.
I go to a salon to get my hair done so that I can relax for a change and be a client. I also have Caucasian hair and have had Locks as well as have been getting braids and twists for more than three years at this point.
I know hair, I know skin, I know hair manipulation. Most importantly, I know customer service. The owner and I clearly differ on what's important when it comes to customer service.

I'm not dishonest enough to give it one star. I've given it two stars. One because they helped me out in a pinch, and one because they have a very nice looking place.
That's all the good things I can say.
My experience:
During my appointment wasn't bad. I did bring over 40 dollars of my own hair in that was a specific color and got zero discount. I let it go because they did use their own hair for the black part of the twists, so whatever. Like I said, I was in a pinch.
However, less than a week after I had my twists put in, my scalp was torn up. I thought, "Not necessarily their fault, my scalp is sensitive. Maybe I'm reacting to the gel." I was also experiencing some slippage. I called the salon owner and she told me to clean my scalp with an astringent (mentioning she sold one) with a q-tip where there is buildup. About the slippage and my actual hair coming untwisted, she said to use a pomade (mentioning she sold one) to control the loose hair. She did invite me to come back in to get the twists that were the problem redone.
Moments after i got off the phone I got a phone call that life had happened all over my husband and I. We had to go to out of state, and a bunch of other stuff. Within days of the initial phone call, I had twists falling out of my head because they had not been braided in. I could see the base of other twists in the mirror and could clearly see that they had not been plaited in. This totally explained the localized scalp damage under those twists. For those that don't know, plaiting/braiding them in stops slippage and relieves damaging tension from the scalp/skin.
I had never had twists or braids slip right out of my head before when they were done properly.
I called Ms. Rene (the owner) when I was finally able to get back into the salon (three weeks after after the appointment) and explained why I wasn't able to make it that day. I offered to bring proof of the emergency.
She told me that because I had "waited" to come in, I would have to get a touch up because of new growth, which starts at $65.00. on top of the $290 (plus the $40+ in hair that I brought there) that I paid to have them put in. I reminded her that I had called a week later to tell her about the problems, they started within the first week, and this was not the first time we spoke. She said if I had come in at a week or so after they were done (when I called to come in originally) to get them fixed, they would have just fixed it. But since I "waited" so long, it would be considered a "touch up". I reiterated that I did in fact inform them within a week.
She then started fussing, being very defensive, and argumentatively explained to me how twists and salons worked in a tone like I didn't really understand what I was talking about; even though we had spoken at length at the time of my initial appointment about m y experiences with hair and so forth. Then she had the nerve to say the following(paraphrasing): *If you had a client that had a dog starting to mat at four weeks wouldn't you charge them for a new groom or for services*
My answer was NO! Not if the issue was caused by me and they called a week after the groom with the problem and then couldn't make it because of family issues or LIFE. Not everyone can just find time all willy nilly to get stuff taken care of. I refuse to think it's okay to think a client should return on MY SCHEDULE when I make a mistake.
And I've been in that situation before. No one is perfect. When I make a mistake, I don't get paid. If I've already been paid, they get the problem fixed, no charge. And if they've called and then had an issue getting to me, I fix it when they can get to me, NO CHARGE. It's called the risk of doing business and customer service. Also, most business should be return business and she is clearly more worried about making money than return clientele. It's bad for business, Ms. Rene.
