Echo Salon in Grand Rapids, MI

Overpriced, pretentious, and very disappointing. Although I appreciate the owner "as a person" she is not someone I would refer to anyone. Somewhere along the line she forgot that she works for the client, no matter what the cost.

Would not recommend... wanted to find out about hair extensions. They said it would be $50 to come discuss but would go forward the service. Well I decided not to do the extensions and wanted to put the $50 towards a highlight instead. They would not do that. So I paid $50 to talk to a stylist about hair extensions. I didn't ask for the money back just to use towards another hair service. Very disappointed. If I had known I certainly would have chosen a different salon.

Echo salon is so relaxing and by far the best hair salon in GR! Becca is an all star! I had searched for a hair stylist forever in Grand Rapids till I found her. She literally took my thinning dried out hair and turned me into a bombshell. I am forever grateful and a client for life. Cheers to Echo and the all star team!

The service I received at Echo goes far above satisfactory. For context, I cut my hair into a mullet a few months ago, and while it was a vibe, the growing out process is not ideal. I booked a consultation with Becca for hair extensions and we discussed my options and I decided to go through with the service. My hair before having extensions installed has very short layers, and I was so worried about blending the extensions to make them look natural. My worries were gone once Becca spun me around in the chair and I saw myself in the mirror. It was enough to make me choke up, I've never felt so beautiful in my life!!! She turned my choppy grown out mullet into a beautiful flowing head of hair. Not only did Becca do a great job, but she is sweet as pie. Such an awesome personality and so easy to talk to! The salon itself is extremely modern and beautiful. There is convenient parking near the salon and high quality products are used and sold at Echo. Stop wasting your time looking for a salon and just go to Echo!!!

Do not trust this business! My girlfriend came home sobbing because the hair stylist either didn't listen or didn't know what they were doing. She asked for a layered cut with auburn hair (while providing reference photos). She came home with a bang cut and black hair. The stylist said she didn't want to bleach the hair because it'll take longer so she just added the color to here naturally brown hair. So if you wanted a messed up haircut, come here and waste $230 for a haircut you could do yourself.
