Didi Salon in Burlingame, CA

Took my mom here for her first real appointment in a salon, with a stylist. My mom has been going to walk in salons for the longest time. No real consultation. Cut is 30 minutes or less. Walking out unsatisfied. We had to change that. Your salon experience should be pleasant and a bit exciting. Remember, hair care is self care. My mom has been box dying her hair for years, but has been growing it out now for +/- 6 months so that Jenn could evaluate her hair for dying in the future. She has a strip of grey in the front with salt throughout, but her hair is mostly still black. Any other salon could have tried to sell us a color later down the line. Jenn said, "Your grey is beautiful, with a nice cut, your grey will be an accent rather than noticeable." Sorry. I didn't take pictures. If I can get them off my mom's phone, I'll post it. I showed Jenn some inspo photos. She and my mom decided on a layered bob. The curtain bang covered up my mom's grey stripe. Jenn taught her how to style her hair, which has a slight wavy texture. The greys that once irritated my mom, now styled in a way that hides it, but the beauty of aging can still peak through. My mom was extremely happy with her cut and experience. She wants to come back every 3 months for a maintenance cut. Since my mom's grey is not so wide spread, we have convinced her to stop dying it. But, we have a semi/demi permanent plan if she ever changes her mind. My mom left the salon confident. She said she never stood out of a salon chair more happy and satisfied. Thank you Jenn and Didi's Salon Staff for making my mom feel welcomed, feel good and look good. See you again soon.

I would give xero stars. I have been to Didi's 2-3 times and have had scheduling issues. The online calendar shows lot more availability but told the slots are limited when you call. I would not bother going to a salon that do not treat their customers fairly. When you call, some sort of profiling happens while the online engine is unaware of these characteristics. Unfortunately they lost a wealthy client due to racial profiling

Jen is amazing! She really listens to what you are going for and does a great job executing it. My color and cut have turned out great both times I've seen her. Will definitely be back!

Amazing service. Cute and trendy place. Staff are friendly and welcoming. My hair always turns out beautiful.

If I could give ZERO starts I would! I scheduled a blow dry and style for today (appointment made one day before) With Gretchen. Some fit else called this morning and asked if I could come in 3 hours earlier. I could not make that work - they said eggy would check back to see if Gretchen was willing to stay and keep the appointment. She called me back and said they had to just cancel. Worst customer service! Do not bother going here.
