I'm sure your experience at this salon will vary depending on the hairdresser you see.
That said, I was extremely disappointed and *distressed* after getting a foil from Cassie.  I asked for ashy blonde highlights--which is what I've been getting for years at salons on the west coast--and went home with bright orange splotches and sharp lines of bleach/orange diagonal lines on my scalp, burnt. Within 4 or 5 days, the hair broke off & left me with some hair less than an inch short, some still long. I had to go to another salon--they were shocked, said it was the worst they'd seen--and my long, formerly light brown w/ ashy blond highlights, hair had to be brought up to short, ear length & sort of orange-ish, to try to manage all the breakage.  I had never used anything like henna or home chemicals on my hair, so no excuses for it.  
I am still heartbroken ... it took me so many years to grow my hair out so long, and now it will take YEARS to recover from the damage.
After bringing the problem to Cassie's attention, she first said she couldn't refund because she pays her own space at the salon.  Huh???  I am almost bald now, with orange hair, and have to live with it.  After my daughter followed up, repeatedly, on social media, she finally refunded.  
I'm not sure if it was an "off day" for her or if this is the norm.  However, I would recommend looking for another salon if you're interested in coloring.

I went here for a man's cut and had my eyebrows done.  The cut was nothing more than using electric sheets and I had to ask to have my hair washed.  She asked if I wanted neckline straight across or follow hairline.  When I got home it looked in back like a chop job.  I had to straighten it up myself.   She waxed my brows and she thought she was done.  I asked her if she could trim the strays that were sticking out.  Would never go there even if it was free.

Cassie at Dejavu knows how to do ethnic hair with more skill than I've seen(or honestly skill, period) then any salon north of Portland. It's a real struggle finding someone in the Bangor area to "tame" and style my daughter's hair. Cassie came recommended and she surpassed my expectations.  She took THREE hours washing, conditioning, detangling and braiding my daughter's hair! The entire time she was bubbly, energetic and chit chatted and laughed with my 8yr old, helping her to forget she was even in a salon chair. If you're looking for a talented and personable stylist who is great with kids and adults, is skilled with intricate hair styles, textures and specific techniques of ethnic hair, give Cassie a try. You wont be disappointed!

Very disappointed.
I read the great reviews online and was sincerely excited to get my hair done. I set up the appointment for 3:30 p.m on a Friday. I show up in Bangor around 2:00 (get some coffee, enjoy a late lunch, etc, but ultimately) to get my haircut, the hairstylist, Cassie, called around the time I arrived in Bangor, to inform me that she was running late and asked if I could push the appoinment back to 4:30. No problem. I show up at 4:30 and she is still shampooing another client. The store closes at 6:00 p.m.

The other lady with green hair behind the counter was rude and unapologetic for the inconvenience.

Cassie had obviously forgotten about my appointment. I live 45 minutes away from town. A waste of a day, a trip, considering all I came to Bangor to do was to get my haircut.
So, so, rude. Never mind how much I was willing to pay for her service.

She kept glancing back from behind her work station as if to see if I had left already or not.

Needless to say, i left and did not get my hair cut and will not be back. So very, very disappointed.

Waste of, and utter disrespect for, my time.
