Weekends, especially Saturday mornings and afternoons, are often peak times for many hair salons. Additionally, weekday evenings can be busier due to clients visiting post-work. It's always a smart move to book in advance, but if you prefer a quieter environment, you can ask Deeper Than Hair about their less hectic hours.
I ordered several items and to this day have not received them, the phone number is disconnected or out of order and I have no products out of $77. Lesson learned about ordering from certain people.
Edge control is the worst product I've ever used. The cost of the product was $14 for a bunch of wax hard as a brick. Never again!
This was my first experience with the (Stylist and salon name) and I'm giving 1 star, (should be giving 0 stars) because it was anything BUT exceptional. I'm highly disappointed in the treatment/service I received. I booked my appointment for a Press and Curl, a month in advance, knowing with the upcoming holiday I would need to get something booked. My appointment was set for 2:00pm and I arrived on time. I sat for an hour waiting to be seen and get my hair washed. At 3:00pm I was finally able to get washed, conditioned and under a dryer. Thinking it would be smooth sailing from then on, I sat for an additional 3 hours. The time is now 6:30, and I had to ASK someone to wash out the conditioner. To make matters worse I had to get back home to my newborn child, and I still needed my hair styled. The stylist suggested that I come back TOMORROW to finish the appointment. I did not book my original time to be a two-day event. The amount of unprofessionalism and utter disregard for someone else's time was unbelievable. There were numerous clients before me who still hadn't been seen. Overbooking is a terrible business practice and needs to be addressed. I had to put down a non-refundable deposit, and then still pay for unfinished hair. This is my first and last time visiting this business. Although (said stylist) is talented, she was very nonchalant and unapologetic about not finishing the service in a reasonable amount or time. I would NOT recommend coming here to get your hair done. You'll be waiting for 3 days.
I will never return. I waited an hour for my appointment. No apology or explanation was given. I asked a simple question about heat protection at the shampoo bowl and the room reacted as if I broke a cardinal rule. Kee responded to my question even though she was a mile away at her station. It was odd. I was left with the impression that my question was a problem. When I finally got to the stylist chair, I asked how bad my ends were. I had recently returned from living abroad and was curious. Kee responds to this question not with an answer but with a rebuke. She says my vibes are off and I'm tense. Like I'm causing an issue. Did I have Kee waiting an hour or did she have me waiting an hour. What In the world? Overall I think this business has its ups and downs. Maybe some days they are good and other days they completely drop the ball.
I wish I can turn back time and followed my instinct! I kept getting interrupted while trying to order stuff from the "store". Anyways, my stuff arrived as scheduled, but when I opened my door and saw this huge box, I can see some sort of liquid seeping thru the box. It turns out, it was the serum. It was in no way packaged so to avoid spills, and the other item was the Peggy Sue mini flat iron. This is straight junk!!! I would NOT recommend it, it's flimsy, overpriced, and won't turn on. Tried calling to see about returns, no luck, someone took my name and order number, but no return call yet. This is disappointing, especially since the flat iron was meant for a gift to my hairstylist. Someone needs to get it together or this ship will soon sink... mark my words. Anyways, don't waste your money buying junk mini things that don't even work- shame!
