Since the pandemic started, I have had 4 haircuts in Philly (moved here just over 3 years ago). All of them were very standard, crap haircuts, and all of them cost well over $100!. Asked a hairstylist friend from south Jersey who she would recommend, and she provided Heather O'Malley's name. My appointment was almost a month in the future. I brought some photos to give her an idea of what I was looking for, and told her I wanted a color that would work with my skin tone. OK! The color was perfect - she totally aced it! The cut was shorter than I wanted; however, in looking at the photos I provided, she actual;y came pretty darn close! She spent an incredible amount of time perfecting the style.... I don't think I have ever had a stylist spend so much time perfecting a cut!!! She totally listened to me during the consultation. She has a great personality, which always helps. The total, with tip, came to $300 for cut and color. It may seem like a lot of money to some, but after spending $150 for the last few cuts, I felt that it was well worth the money. I walked out feeling like a million bucks!!!!!!!! That, despite the fact that it was shorter than what I was thinking. BTW, everyone I know who has seen me has complimented me on my new look - my hair was down to my breasts (obviously in the front), and quite damaged after waiting more than a year to get it cut, due to my frustration in finding a really good stylist. I will definitely be going back. This place has a really nice feel to it, and EVERYONE was so pleasant - really NO arrogance!

Marissa is amazing! Talented, authentic, and always a joy. She's great with color-highlights for me, and styling. Incredibly efficient, too, so you're not in the salon for hours, which is rare.

When my hair stylist retired after my being his client for about 25 years, i wondered if i could find someone else who would understand what i did and did not want in a haircut. I did find that person! Heather listened to me and gave me a wonderful cut 5he first time and each time since.

I always love coming to Salon Vanity. I am treated so well and get to relax while I'm there. Heather is amazing as always, and her staff are wonderful. She always takes her time to make sure my hair looks perfect before I leave. Her assistants Melanie and Joshua were very friendly and skilled. I always look forward to my next visit!
