Da-Vi Nails in Minot, ND

I just received the worst manicure & pedicure I've ever received.  I asked the lady who did my nails to correct them. Her corrections made the nail job even worse. It was to the point that I just asked her for some cotton to remove the nail polish. The initial coat dried uneven and with bubbles. Bubbles are normally because the Polish is too thick, which is understandable. However,  the lady doing my nails couldn't paint a straight or even coat to save her life.   She was glob bing the Polish on then not understanding why the Polish dried uneven with bubbles.

Worst.  Nail.  Spa.  Ever.  

I went to Da-Vi Nails for a mani-pedi on a Tuesday around 3PM.  There were several customers there when I arrived and a steady flow for the two hours I was there.  First, the pedicure.  I was offered the deluxe pedicure and accepted.  The technician (a male with many tattoos, if it matters), slapped on the salt scrub, but never actually worked it into my skin.  He then rinsed it right off.  It didn't do anything.  Then he wrapped my legs in hot towels and left for over 15 minutes.  I asked to have a little extra attention to callouses, but the technician barely buffed them.  The best part of the pedicure was omitted...the massage.  I asked for a massage but the technician said he didn't have time.  The selection of nail colors was pitiful with no newer colors or styles.  They also do not use a base coat.  

On to another technician for my manicure.  I requested a shellac manicure but they didn't have any of the nail samples to choose a color...only the bottles.  The technician used an electric file to remove my current color instead of soaking them off.  When I asked him not to use it he made a face and got angry.  He left chunks of my old polish all over my hands, then tried to use the grinder again to buff my nails.  Again I had to tell him to use a buffer and again he got made.  He did a horrible job of applying the color and got polish all over my cuticles.  Again I asked for a touch up and it was like I was asking for his first born.  Again, no massage.  

Long story short...I paid a premium for upgraded services and received less than the bare minimum.  I will NEVER again visit this "salon."

I had my acrylic nails filled  here in July while in Minot.  I was thoroughly disgusted with the filth of the place.  Everything was dusty and dirty and I was the first customer of the morning so it wasn't the day's dust.  There was a nasty old dishrag laying there to brush off  the clippings, etc.  Someone else's clippings from another day were all along the edge of the counter.  The lady was rude and even thouigh it is often difficult to understand Vietnamese speech, I am accustomed to my local nail folks being pleasant to me.  And in addition to all this, it was the worst nail fill I have ever had.  Not only was she rough in removing a tip,  the nails were bumpy and my cuticles were painted!!

I would advise anyone interested in getting nails done in Minot to find a different place than this.  I would certainly not allow those people to do a pedicure for me.  For shame on a company that advertises itself as being international and state of the art not being more vigilant  about one of their fanchises.

There are a few token gems in here, one younger nail tech named Amy is fabulous. If you're looking for creativity and friendliness, relax and enjoy :)
