Weekends, especially Saturday mornings and afternoons, are often peak times for many hair salons. Additionally, weekday evenings can be busier due to clients visiting post-work. It's always a smart move to book in advance, but if you prefer a quieter environment, you can ask Cost Cutters about their less hectic hours.
Went in with a photo how I wanted my hair cut. Walked out with a hair cut that I can only describe as a total screw up. Never again will I go to this place. If i wanted a hair cut that looked like buzz cut with a short mohawk I would have asked for it. Not sure how a picture with a person with a hair cut that shows short hair on the side that one can comb back ended up with a clippered hair cut almost to the top of my head with a 5" stripe of hair running down the middle of it. All I can say is never again.
I tend to make a point of being a kind towards my stylist s and tipping them well, so the fact that I am even writing this review says something. I went in with three different reference photos, one reference photo including bangs that I had in the past. All I wanted was some long layered and straight across bangs. She acted like she understood what I was asking for and then faced my chair towards the door so that I could not see what she was doing the entire time. She spent about two minutes just thinning out my thick hair, instead of doing layers. When she got to my bangs she cut them dry with a far left side part. She did not even section the bangs she just took a front chunk of hair and cut. What is very confusing is the fact that she has straight across bangs herself. She spent 5 to 10 minutes trying to get the part out of my bangs, which would've been avoided if she had sectioned it properly. She then in an attempt to get the part out of my hair took out a flat iron and burned my forehead. It is not a bad burn, but it still should not happen in the first place. I was still courteous, and tipped her well. Though, I am concerned that maybe I shouldn't have. I write this review to let people know to look out for at least one, if not all of the stylist that work here. I read other reviews and they were good, so I am confused as to how this person got their job here. The longer I look at my hair the more disappointed I am that I spent money on this.
