Cost Cutters in Ithaca, NY

Cost cutters is not where any MAN should be going for haircuts. If you want really nice customer service this is the place for you. But if you actually want a good cut please go to a barbershop. If you go to cost cutters your wife will start random arguments with you , your hairline will be pushed back, fade not faded and you will not get what you asked for.

I had my hair colored there 2 days ago. When I made the appointment, I was told it would cost around $160(I was very descriptive of the length,thickness and basic color of my hair as it was, and that I take thyroid medication) I told them I wanted it colored a bright white like Helen Mirren. When I arrived for my appt. I was immediately informed it would cost $300 to have my hair colored! I agreed as long as, as it it came out the color I wanted. She said no problem. 3 hrs later instead of the bright white, I had asked for I now have Platinum blonde hair and She sent me home with white chemicals all over the sides of my face, down both sides of my neck and across one side of my forehead. I walked home like that, and since she blew dried my hair. She can't say she didn't see it. Platinum Blonde Is Not Bright White. It looks nothing like Helen Mirren's white hair. Not even close. If you couldn't do it, you should have said so. I have talked to Cassandra's supervisor since I wrote this, unfortunately I was unable to get her name because the connection was terrible. This has not helped. Apparently, Cassandra's took it upon herself to use what it is called the " the Platinum Card" on my hair, which is why my hair is Platinum blonde, NOT Bright white, like I asked for.(I think she slipped up when she told me that) They are refusing to fix it, unless I want to pay another $300! I wouldn't let them touch my hair again. I could have done this myself, with a box of Feria( which only costs $15!)and I would have gotten the exact same color, and it wouldn't have done as much damage to my hair! I will be adding pictures later.

Manager rushed bleach job, still yellow in hair. Was sent away with dried bleach around the whole hair line (ears, forehead, back of neck.) Hair was Virgin salt pepper. (Blond white and brown). Then when I wasn't happy that there is still yellow in hair, she insisted it was the lightest she could get it and refused to fix and or refund the 300 dollars she charged for the awful experience.

Tanner did an awesome cut for me today! I went from shoulder length hair to a short pixie cut. Tanner took extra time to get the pixie cut just right!!! Thank You, Tanner!

This was my first time going to Cost Cutters, and I must be honest...I was a little nervous to go somewhere new. I had read other reviews online of this location and saw mostly good things people said. So I took a leap of faith. I had Tanner, and he was awesome! He was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. I told Tanner I was looking for a trim with long layers. He asked when my last haircut was and I said August. As he looked at and felt my hair, he said that to get rid of all my split ends he would suggest cutting off 4 inches. Initially I was like NOPE because I like my long hair and didn't want to lose that much, but he showed me where my hair would fall after losing that length and I trusted him. So I let him do his thing and my hair came out great! So much healthier and felt so much lighter! I'll definitely be back. THANK YOU TANNER!
