What a horribly run business. I made an appointment for a blowout and when I showed up they had scheduled me for a trim. They didn't have enough time for a blowout and showed me in their calendar where whomever scheduled the appointment entered it wrong. There was no attempt to reschedule, make suggestions for the time we did have - nothing. The whole reason I made the appointment is because I have an event but they commented on the humidity being the real issue. The humidity doesn't change the fact that I had an appointment. I'm gobsmacked by the lack of empathy and sense of responsibility for the situation. Instead, I was made to feel as though it were my issue. Never again, no thank you. Good luck with this business.
I just got a color and cut with Kayse-Jo. I was nervous to try someplace new but I'm so glad I did! Kayse-Jo did such a phenomenal job, the color of my hair is beautiful. Plus I had a scalp massage that was out of this world! I have definitely found my new go-to hair stylist. Thank you, Kayse-Jo!

If I could give 0 star, I will. It happened on 12\29\19. The service was very unprofessional. I went to there to pick up my girlfriend. My girlfriend bleached her roots there before but it turned out very yellow, so she went there again to get it fixed. She was not expecting to pay the full price. Yeah it has been more than 4 weeks but she did call 2 times in between to make an apppointment but scheduling did not work. Snow, final weeks of school, working 35hours a week , I mean who would put hair priority? Here are the very unprofessional parts of the salon. I did not like the fact that her hairstylist Lorraine was rushing so much because she had to go to church. She said it 5 times. She made us feel bad because she said we are stopping her when she has to feed her kids. Unprofessional again because why would she accept the customer when she knows she cannot meet the satisfaction of the customer? Again unprofessional. Second, she was raising her voice, so we felt very threatened. I had to tell her please do know raise your voice because my gf was scared. She said you are not walking out I need my money. Another African American hairsylist joined her and basically started to say that we are not responsible for each other. We are independents,so we are individuals. We never planned to walk out. I am a Veteran, so I know what is right or wrong. One thing that made me feel really upset was how the owner responsded. I was next to my gf when they talked, and she kept saying it has been more than 4weeks,we can't do anything. She did not try to fix the problem but said we cant do anything. When she was listing things that my girlfriend was charged, my girlfriend found out there were services that she not request(hair repair products) But the owner bluntly said there is nothing she can do since it was already done. What? You are the owner and how would you feel if you get charged for things that you never asked? The owner kept saying that my gf got a huge discount. We have no idea why it would cost 135 dollars when she only wanted roots done again. At the end, of course, she ended the conversation saying her client is waiting. It is just sad how unprofessional and threatened Shear salon can be when it comes to service. Do not recommend here.
