Julie A Stone Salon in Ithaca, NY

I had an awful experience with Julie Stone. After getting my hair done, i received a frantic call about first--her keys missing---then her purse. Of course I didnt touch either and wished her luck in finding them. I would have been willing to let it drop until she had the gaul to give my cell number to her husband. He proceeded to threaten me if i didnt return her purse and call the police. I do not take well to threats by some arrogant, obnoxious man whom i have never met. I told him to call the police. Miss Stone found her keys (she lost them) and did not even have the presence of mind to apologize to me directly. Unacceptable and disgusting behavior. I hope both Jule and her husband learn how to take responsibilities for their own actions.

Being a 51 year old guy who grew his hair out over the covid lockdown I decided I liked having long hair again. I went to Julie's place after meeting her at a ski resort. For one Julie has an amazing personality and a great staff. She makes you feel welcomed and the center of the universe. The hair washing or scalp massage you get in the beginning I dare you not to fall asleep. It is incredibly relaxing. And Julie came up with a style that accentuates my jaw line and the natural waves in my hair. So here I am a year later and I needed a haircut. I go to Julie and once again I leave there on top of the world feeling and looking like a million bucks. I will never trust my hair to anyone else. Best place in Ithaca.

BEWARE that services are charged by the hour. Charged my daughter 4 times the amount she pays at home (Downstate) for the same service. Way to take advantage of a college student, especially during these trying times. Yelp should show $$$$$ for price structure.

Julie SAVED my hair and made it SO pretty. I came in with home dyed platinum blonde hair and home cut...yikes. I wanted to keep it light but my roots are dark brown. She did low lights to blend in my natural color. I'm SO glad she convinced me to not just keep doing my roots every month. My scalp was in pretty bad condition too and Julie really took care of it and gave me some great scalp care tips! I was expecting this appointment to be more of a fix that turned out okay looking, just because of the state my hair was in. But I am SO HAPPY with how it looks - both cut and color!!! Thank you!!! :)

This place is absolutely amazing. I have for years been bouncing around from salon to salon all over town. Every time I set foot in the salon I feel welcomed and leave feeling 10 times better then before! Highly recommend to anyone.
