Cost Cutters in Ankeny, IA

my 1st time at Ankeny, IA venue to have my hair dyed lighter blond n a haircut. a snowstorm was about to hit that afternoon. had Nicole n we got to talking. we werent paying attention but she didnt place the required towels around my neck, just threw the cape on me. she even forgot to clock in after her break. if u want a talker, she is your gal. she claimed that she has been in this career for years. i m unsure if she was nervous or have too much on her mind or both. i didnt know that the store manager was there cutting others' hair too until later. after dying my hair, the toner was brushed on and that was when i realized that my favorite blouse was ruined. too late to stop the process. it felt dripping wet!!!
walked out in the cold Iowa winds with a wet back after my hair was styled and the store manager saw that wet back too but didnt say anything either. i had no choice but to hurry out of the salon as the snow consumed my vehicle.
i decided to call one of the stores because Nicole picked their store phone up the next day. i wanted to have this annoying situation resolved instead of letting it go. eventually i got a manager of another store and she took up my concern/complaint. i got hold of the Ankeny store manager after a few days of playing phone tag and handed my blouse over. she claimed she tried to take the stain out (there is no going back when toners go on your clothing! experienced stylist will know this). so she offered to give a gift card of a requested dollar amount as a replacement for my loss. i had to pickup the cash (no gift card to be had) and i immediately handed it to a customer sitting in the waiting area. her lucky day! i said goodbye to that venue!
after 3weeks, i need a touch up at the roots and i dont think that my hair was cut well.

My family has went here for several years. Today I go in there at 5:20 pm. There are two people working. I sign in and sit down. At 5:27 a gentleman pays for his haircut, he leaves. Then a lady says, we are booked for the day, she told me she is leaving and the other girl is doing color the rest of the day. I guess they couldn't tell me that when I walked in and even allowed me to check in and it showed someoneavailable to cut hair. They close at 7 pm. So for the next 1.5 hours they have one staff person working. Very disappointing that they are not staffed appropriately.  Guess we will be going somewhere else moving forward.

Today I went back to this place after a haircut that went wrong I found a picture
online I showed this picture to the manager that was supposed to fix the haircut I've gotten last week she starting arguing with me and became very rude.
I've never been treated like this ever so I decided to leave. I couldn't look at her because of her bad breath. I hope this is a lesson to this so called manager bad business bad breath.

I've been going to Supercuts because their Tuesday deal but I hated the quality. They were busy one day so I brought my son to Cost Cutters. There was a lady that was trying to return something which took forever. But who the heck buys/returns stuff at salons? As soon as that lady got out of the way of the 6 people behind her, we were able to get in quickly for a hair cut. It was fast and the cut was better than our usual place we go to!! I will see come back here for the speed and quality!

Very disappointed, all the hairdressers were grumpy upon my walk in. I asked for a trim and with curly hair they didn't even wet my hair to ensure it was an even trim. It was a 5 minute job. Something I could have certainly done myself. Will not be returning.
