This salon recently got some wonderful technicians (I posted this review on 1/23/24) and I feel the quality of the service is wonderful. These ladies really listen to what I want. If the polish is not of great quality and it comes off or I have a problem, I can come in and they will re-do my nails and make me happy. I feel like there are times, though, where my appointment might have been booked knowing that a specific nail tech was NOT going to be present -- the thought process being "once you're there, you can work with another nail tech, no problem, right?" Wrong. When that happens, I either leave, or I make sure my back-up nail tech is there. But it's a pain in the neck when you book someone and they disregard your desires for a specific person. Hence 4/5 stars. Other than that, this is a fantastic place!
Just got my nails done Saturday and my thumb already chipped and the acrylic nail is breaking on the side....it's only been a day.
I was in for a mani/pedi and he took a looooong time. I found that to be unusual, he was nice but I had dinner reservations. I asked for round mani and he did square. Maybe next time I will ask for Helen
Does anyone recommend a good nail salon in the spi to Brownsville area? I just had the WORST experience at Cosmo Nail Bar. I was unhappy with my manicure due to me telling the nail tech (who I might assume may be an owner) to cut my nails short. Maybe it was taken too literally or whatever the case being, I did not like them. I simply asked to get them fixed. (I also said I would pay for the extra service, and whatever necessary for my nails to be fixed). All for the nail tech to go off on me about how she did nothing wrong and how it was my fault for asking for the nails to be shorter which I owned up to. We had a full blown argument about who said what when all I asked was for my nails to be fixed. In front of 15 other clients. So with that said, Screw you cosmo! I have been going there for 3 years and have referred soooo many friends to go see them. Please let me know of any nail salons! thanks for reading my rant friends! Horrible customer service! We had an issue with our pedicure and acrylic nails and instead of being treated with kindness and professionalism, we were told by the manager, "Well if you don't like it, then don't come back." Not kind and definitely not coming back. Kind workers are Tommy, Mari, Magda, and Dan. So if you must go, request one of them!
