Cathy's Hair Design in Haymarket, VA

Cathy is a horrible nasty lady. My mother has been going there for a while. She suffers multiple issues including dementia so she has an aide that takes her so I can work. Today when they showed up for her appointment she proceeded to yell and scream at my elderly mother and aide. Demanding to know why they were there and they didn't show up for an appointment in December that was never made. She will never get another dime from my mother and I will make sure everyone knows how horrible she is. The audacity of her to yell and an elderly person that looks forward to her once every other month outing. Have some common decency Cathy. You are what's wrong with todays world. Doesn't cost you a dime to be nice to someone. Have the day you deserve. Gave one star only because it was required. Would give a negative 50 if it was allowed.

Cathy was absolutely NASTY to my 2 year old today who was just standing at the outside corner of the business where it was not busy. Instead of coming to talk to me to request my child find another spot to stand she came out and was YELLING loudly and meanly directly to my child who froze out of fright. My husband tried calling her and talking to her but she lied and argued that she did not yell and that "the child was old enough to know better than to be in the way". My child was not in the way of anyone, and has the right to stand where she pleases so long as she is not actively blocking the door to their business which again she was not. And when a customer (ONE CUSTOMER) was making her way down the ramp, my toddler stood still and out of the way to let the customer pass. I tried to respond to Cathy and tell her she should have spoken to me FIRST before ever raising her voice at my toddler and she quickly went inside and shut the door. Cathy is not a nice person, I would never want to deal with her and her business if she thinks that yelling at a child for standing outside her business is an issue that warrants her wrath.

I'm so glad I found Cathy's. She and Tammy combined have 66 years of experience in hair design and I always look great when I leave her place. I love that she always listens to what I want and doesn't have customers waiting while she's working on me. Truly a gem!

Cathy and her staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. Have been there twice and each time has been a truly pleasant experience. Cathy is an artist when it comes to styling and coloring hair. I've been looking for a hair salon since moving to the area, and I think ive found one I love. Great consultation, a stylist who listens, and a great cut! At 50.00 for a basic cut a little pricey but the quality was there. I think I've found my new salon :)
