Carolines Signature Salon in Gilbert, AZ

Awful. She let me leave to air dry my hair because I think she knew the color was WAY off. My root touch up was black and the blonde was rusty/copper. Had a Groupon and was up charged $110 so these services cost over $200. I asked politely for a refund and was told no. I now have to dispute the charge in hopes to get the money to have color correction done elsewhere. This is the worst hair coloring I have ever had. My hair looks 100 times worse leaving than it did walking in.

Worst hair cut and style ever. There was a whole section on the back of my head that never even got curled and several spots that didn't get cut. I would never go back there again even if it was free. I had planned to do errands on my way home but couldn't because I was too embaressed about the way my hair looked. I had to go to a different salon to get the cut finished. Because of her age I thought she would be more experienced. I can see why she does groupons. She probably rarely gets return customers.

I've been getting my hair done by Caroline for 3 years and she is the only person I trust with my hair! I have wavy hair that's very fine and I find that not many hair stylists consider curl pattern except her! I would be very communicative with your expectations and she is also very direct on what can and can't be done which is the true reflection of her expertise. Please give her a try and you won't be disappointed!

!BEWARE! Well I guess Caroline is notorious for canceling on her clients. After a handful of red flags I set out to trusty Yelp to see she's a repeat offender. I purchased a Groupon for a cut and partial balayage service at Caroline's. As promoted, I booked online via the booking service. I received confirmation immediately. I drove 40 min, with traffic, to my appointment, to find the doors locked. I gave her a call via the business card and when she answered she said she said she was not aware of any appointments that evening. She made it clear it wouldn't be happening that day but she could do hair the following day at 4pm, which we made arrangements for. At nearly noon the following day she sends me a text to cancel saying she again cannot do my hair that day, but offered the following morning. I did let her know, a second time that I had family in town and would be headed out of town in a few days as well so I was really hoping to have my hair done before leaving town. I asked her what time would work for the following morning so I could try to arrange it. I responded to her text 6 minutes after she text me and she then went ghost. 4 days later she decides to respond: (Sorry,I didn't get back to you. there's no excuse but the real excuses. My phone was not working and I just got your message now so I am so sorry. Let me know when you get back in town if you want me to do it. I am so so sorry) I'm not sure how 6 minutes later her phone was not working but at this point I had already decided after her unprofessionalism and reading her Yelp reviews of similar experiences and botched hair catastrophes that getting my hair done with her was not in my stars. Of course Groupon does not have a customer service number but I reached out via email and requested a refund, which was not a simple process. They initially told me I was out of the date range for a refund, that it must be done 24 hours before service, but where is the protection for the customer when the business decides not to come through? I did finally get a refund, but as a credit, not original payment. I would not recommend going here and this is another reason why it's so important to read reviews EVERYWHERE.
