Not happy at all I went in for two goddesses braids came out with four cornrows. Started at 30 on the phone end up paying 48. My hair so tight that I have bumps and sores back of neck, forehead and scalp. My lower braids are done on my ears. I look like the predator wearing a crown of shame. First experience and last.  Wasted money and time, only could beat it one day.

Very disappointed
. Showed a picture of what I wanted and was told that they could do it but after they started it was told that they don't do what I asked to have done. Sad customer service.

After my first visit, I vowed to never return. I didn't care for the customer service. Not to mention what other braid shops would do to finish my braids using mouse to control the frizz, I was told I'd need to pay extra here. That notwithstanding I went back a second time where a different group of braiders were there this past Nov and the customer service was somewhat better. However, I would advise thoroughly detangling one's own hair because they are certainly not gentle and will pull your hair out rather than gently come through it. I complained to the head braider that time who took over. Against my better judgment and because they're fairly quick (a minimum of 2 braiders will braid my hair), I opted to use them. The same group of braiders as last time were there but the head braider as I call her didn't finish me and went to assist another customer which was fine since so little was left to do.

Not only did the lady who finished my braids use a stinky towel which reeked of mildew which I smelled after she'd dried my hair with the towel, but she didn't seem to care. Certainly, if I could smell it she had to. I have no idea if it were a clean towel or not. Yuck! In addition, I noticed they/she hadn't done a good job of cleaning up my braids of stray hair and asked her if she could. Of course, she put very little effort into doing so and I still have long stray hairs sticking out of my braids. So it doesn't look as neat and professional as other braiders I've gone to and again, no mousse was applied after.

I was told by another braider in a separate shop quite awhile back where I frequented which is why she likely disclosed that info to me that Americans are overcharged because we are Americans. I understand and can even accept that if I want my hair braided, but at least do a good enough job where I don't feel like I'm just given any ol' treatment and sent out the door on top of feeling like using a nasty smelling rag that my grandma would've kept under the bathroom sink to wipe the floor on my freshly washed and clean hair was acceptable. Making it smell like a dirty mop. Needless to say I can't recommend this place to anyone nor will I return. The first time really should've been the last for me, but I suppose I let my desire for convenience overrule my better judgment as they were quicker than the previous shop I'd gone to in Matthews but less polished and neat looking for just finished braids.

DO NOT GO TO FRANCHE BRAIDING !  I was in the braiding hair salon 2 weeks ago. I paid for crochet braids. The young lady who did my hair did not braid my hair right nor did she crichet my hair correctly. Unfortunately I had to take my hair out less than a week of me getting it braided due to sores in my head that were created when using the  crochet needle. I paid too much money for such poor work. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR BRAIDED HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT,despite the revuews I went anyway. NEVER AGAIN. I give this business 0 stars.
