Body Serene Nails & Spa in Montgomery, AL

I brought my sister in and I for pedis and I got a mani. After having to go through 2 separate gel polishes my nails look terrible. They wouldn't dry and my technician made it seem as if it was my fault. I've been getting the same mani from other places forever and that's never happened.

2 days later my toes are already chipping and I had to go back to fix 2 nails that broke from being too thin. I will never go back.

If I can give them no stars I would!!!!
Let me tell you my story...Me and my husband decided to have a spa date,have pedicures and etc.Salon I always go to had no openings for that day and we looked online for something that looked relaxing on the pictures,that is how we ended up here.Let me tell you the worst decision ever!!!We walked in and 4 techs were working with customers and 4 teenage boys were playing on the computers which looked very unprofessional!After about 5 minutes they acknowledged our presents and asked us what we wanted.We were told that wait is not long which was the truth and before we new it we were in the chairs.Older lady that was my husband's tech did not say a word to him during the whole process,she had a face as we had interrupted something very important she had going on in the back room,where she was summoned from wright before she started.The only thing that came to her mind was to pull out red nail polish in the end and suggest that she will use it on my husband's nails.REALLY!!!
Me experience was even worse!My tech who was every bit of 65 had a hard time removing my nail polish,for no reason at all(  I am assuming their acetone quality is as good as their nail polishes).So I suggested to wrap my nails for a few minutes as they would gel polished,to which he replied that he will do it his way.His way was filing my polish together with my nails and cuticles and surrounding flesh.It was so painful,I kept on telling him and he would just say sorry and instead of filing start rubbing my aggravated skin with acetone!!!It lasted for about 30 minutes,before he started on massage and polishing nails.My experience reminded me dentist office,when you say just do it without a shot,it's small cavity wright?"For 30 minutes I set there grabbing arms of the chair with my fingers,holding my breath on the verge of crying.Was not what I had in mind for a pedicure experience!We still paid a full $50 for both of us.My cuticles stayed swollen and red for 3 days!!!
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER!!!

They no longer offer paraffin wax, although this is listed as a service they do offer on their website. This was the only reason I visited this nail salon and I was disappointed to find this out after I arrived. The pedicure and manicure I received was average. The salon does not have a large selection of nail polish to choose from. Thankfully, I brought my own with me.

I've been going to them for years even before they opened Body Serene Spa. Love them!

This salon used to be fabulous.  My daughter & I have frequented Body Serene Spa for the last 3 years for our pedicure needs.  We were last there in September and had our usual, wonderful pedicures.  However, we went last week for our spring pedicures, and the technicians barely spoke to us, and the techs cut both my daughter's and my cuticles, making them bleed; they hurt for a few days.  This has never happened at Body Serene before!  Bleeding cuticles are the # 1 way to get a nail salon infection.  These were not new technicians, either; these same folks have done our nails for 3 years!  There is always a child (looks to be around age 12 or so) taking up a manicure station, playing on his laptop.  To me, this is highly unprofessional.  Also, on our last visit, the tech asked loudly in front of everyone in the salon how much I wanted to tip.  How unprofessional and embarrassing.  The techs didn't even deserve a tip, but when it was asked that loudly, I had to tip something.  Body Serene Spa used to be far better than this, but we will now go elsewhere for our nail needs.  I've heard good things about Doug's!
