Beauty Secrets Nail Salon in Simi Valley, CA

Hmmmmm. I went for a mani pedi with my friend. They treated her so well. They, however, left me at the manicure station, did another woman's pedicure, wouldn't let me sit at the massage pedicure chair, even though I was getting a pedicure. My friend asked them to let me sit there because the manicure chair was so uncomfortable, repeatedly. I didn't complain but I took a mental note. You left me on chair even though i was getting a pedicure, you took another client, even though my service wasn't complete. You were asked repeatedly if i could get transferred and did nothing, until you actually gave me my pedicure. All their clients were Caucasian. I was the only Asian. The regular who thought it was ok to listen to her phone on speaker, no one really wants to hear that. Why can't people use ear buds? Is it so hard? It's being polite and courteous. Most may not care about this post but all should be treated fairly and equally.

The staff here was very nice but I received a very poor quality manicure. No nail shaping, no cuticle removal, and messy polish application. I'm taking off this expired, goopy polish as soon as I can.

I got referred by someone to see Tiffany for eyelash extensions for the first time. I came in at 12:20 for an appointment. It took an hour and 30 minutes for a eyelash fill, I didn't leave until 1:50 pm. she answered phone calls the whole time throughout our appt and left the room and prolonged our appt . She convinced me to get these eyelashes that had rhinestones on the end. She charged me 5$ for 2 of them on each side. When she showed me them in the mirror she literally said "You can't really see them but other people will be able too"... I didn't say anything at the time cause i honestly felt bad but once i got home i showed my boyfriend and he said he couldn't even see them at all. I understand it's only 5$ but it's the principal of the situation that when i told her i couldn't see them and asked for the 5$ off my next eyelash fill her response was "Sorry no". I've gotten my eyelashes done by many different lash techs and i've never had any of them not be willing to work with their clients when they are unsatisfied. Lost a client who would've come every 2 weeks consistently.

I love all the dip colors they have, but after you've done all the stops and apply the nail polish, it just looks terrible. I've tried numerous ways to make it look, smooth, and glossy, to no avail. Plus, it really doesn't last that long. I've had times when it starts to pull up within a couple of days. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, however, I'm not buying this again.

I've known Tiffany for many years now and have followed her from place to place. She has had her own salon for quite a few years now. She does a great job with both acrylics and dips. Her French nails are just beautiful and last for weeks. She is a quiet and fairly private person focused on her work. She is a perfectionist for sure. Nancy also does a nice job and gives a great and detailed pedicure. I'm a fussy customer and really appreciate their good work.
