Babe Styling Studios in Wilmington, DE

Today I woke up and decided I needed a haircut. I needed a haircut today. Here's the problem, I live in DC and I'm visiting Delaware. I don't know any black hair stylist in Delaware. So I let my handy dandy yelp lead me to Babe styling studio. I was amazed that I was able to get a same day appointment with Ebon! I just wanted my curly hair cut dry. He was professional and I explained what I wanted done and he invited me to have a seat in his chair. But this was no ordinary chair It looked like a throne. I couldn't help but comment about it and he said that's because I take care of Queens. On my next visit I'm going to get low lights can't wait to return. Do yourself a favor make an appointment.

I made a same day appointment with BEBE! My waiting was minimal. I was shampooed, blow dry and flat ironed and on my way in about an hour and a half. Parking  on street with the meters cooperating. Great experience.

They did an amazing job! I just wanted my hair washed, blow dried and my ends trimmed because I was getting braids. I was able to get a last minute appointment and my hair came out really nice. They made sure to clean my scalp and every time I go there I get great service.

I visited this salon several times a few years ago so when I was looking for a stylist that could give me a "special" cut I immediately thought of this salon. I went in for a relaxer, cut, and color. I showed the stylist a photo of the cut and asked if they could do it. They said yes and I immediately was excited. When I was done my hair looked nothing like the photo. I was not happy, but I still made an appointment for the following week.

I woke up the next morning with my hair stuck to my scalp! They did not rinse all of the relaxer out of my hair. It was still relaxer in my hair. I had sores in the back of my hair and chemical burns on my edges. I had to reach out to my old stylist to correct the damage that the stylist did to my hair. Thankfully she was able to salvage most of my hair in the back of my head. Unfortunately, this could have been avoided if they based my hair prior to the relaxer and washed all of the relaxer out of my hair.

If I could give a lower rating I would. PLEASE spare yourself the trouble and DO NOT GO to this place. Most of the "stylists" appear to be brought in off the street with NO TRAINING, NO LICENSE, doing HAIR. Yes, that is what I said, chemical relaxers and all. Go ANYWHERE else unless you want and need hair drama in your life. Most of the female "stylist's" have been working there for less than one month. Neither the "manager" nor "owner" could care less what their non-trained, unlicensed, street people do to your hair. They should be shut down for the safety of the public.
