B&T Salon and Spa LLC in Pittsburgh, PA

DO NOT COME. I happened to be in Downtown so I thought I'd pop in and get a manicure. I asked for a basic manicure and they gave me a gel manicure that I didn't ask for. The nail polish literally fell off my nails within 24 hours. I looked down and the polish was just gone. Also, the guy doing my nails was a bit strange and he HIT my hand to "correct" something I was doing wrong which is insane. He also cut my multiples times and I bled. All that and I still got charged $40 for the worst manicure I've ever gotten in my life. Also, I second what a previous person wrote in their review about the creepiness. It's creep, dark, and it feels dirty. It was pretty cold in there. Also, there were several men just standing around doing nothing and I don't know if they worked there or what - but being the only woman in there, it was quite unsettling. I usually never post a bad review but this horrible experience has been on my mind for weeks and I want to warn anyone against going here.

This is the bottom of the barrel of nail salons, in my opinion. It was extremely dirty, not well-lit, uncomfortable, hot (in the summer), creepy, and undesirable. They have laminate wood-looking floors and they were peeling and lifting. There were no customers other than me. I went to have a toenail fixed because the color chipped and asked them to match it. It was the second toe that needed a color change. When I sat in the pedicure chair, I couldn't sit upright because the chair wouldn't allow me to. It was so broken down that it had me leaning. When I said, multiple times, it's hot in here, the technician turned the fan on and it was on him. I asked him to turn the fan on me. ‍ The two men were not unfriendly but it was very eerie feeling in the salon. When I picked up nail polish in the box to try to find a matching color, the boxes were dirty with gritty-like dirt. There was a staircase leading to some dark place upstairs. I smelled cigarettes. They charged me $10 to change the color on one toe. I'm from CA and we have some of the highest priced everything but a color change for all toes or nails range from $5-$10, so $10 for one toe was highway robbery. I paid it with a smile and left with the color not matching. I would've been better of going to the CVS next door and buying nail color and painting the toe myself. Plus he painted on my skin. Good grief. I can't wait to return to CA to have my toe fixed. What a waste of time and money. By the way, I was actually heading to a nail salon listed at 256 and when I ran into their sign, I thought I had arrived but this address is 254! This place should be checked out by the health department. I don't know the rules in PA but in CA, our salons cannot reuse files and other equipment on multiple customers. Caveat emptor!!!

I went to B & T specifically for a pedicure because my last one was magnificent right and to get the same technician that provided my last one was great so I thought. I'm finicky I know that so I ask him to push my cuticles a little more he then asks when my last pedicure was , I tell him last summer, He says" You haven't had a pedicure in a year and you expect a miracle ". I said jokingly y'all kill me right? And I only meant for $50 I expect to not have to ask to push my cuticles back honestly they didn't move at all and I'm not exaggerating. He jumps up pulls the plug out and states" I can't do your pedicure!" I thought he must be joking well he wasn't and when I say the rest of the men techs fell in line. I waited an hour and a half to be serviced when the American technician serviced me and apologized for the wait and the fact that not one of the other available techs attempted to service me. She said I would've left if I were you no way would I have waited that long or patronized a salon after being treated in that manor and like I explained to her I really needed a pedicure and she stated your feet aren't as bad as you think! I know she was being kind.

Horrible. I made an appointment and i don't know the man's name but he was tall and thin. He was on his phone the entire time, leaving me sitting there multiple times as he talked. Which was whatever, but as he was doing my nails it just got worse and worse. The shape is so wonky, the tops are uneven and super thick. He was using the tip of a sharp file to get the acrylic from under my nail which was a first for me, they normally use the appropriate instrument. I had my engagement pictures scheduled for the following day and had to reschedule because my nails look disgusting. There's glue and acrylic all over my hands. I asked for a refund because I didn't trust the incompetent nail guy to redo my nails. He showed me a little sign next to the cash register that said no refunds. You'd never see this sign unless someone pointed it out. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years and i have never ever asked for money back. The other man working there agreed my nails looked terrible and the other woman who was doing someone else's nails at the time, told me how sorry she was and that if she would've been there when I got there that she would've made them look way better. So two of this incompetent man's coworkers agreed they looked like absolute garbage and the guy was still rude as ever to me and refused a refund. DO NOT GO HERE LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Pedicures are great here, mine lasted for 3 weeks with just regular nail polish, I've been here twice.
