I waited FOUR hours to get my hair done, so I ask the owners daughter to give a discount for having me wait so long, after persuading me to stay when I was ready to leave within two hours of waiting! She refused to take $15 off after I patiently waited FOUR hours to get my hair braided. As a first time customer, the service was horrible, my braids only last 3 weeks, and for the price I paid my braids should have lasted 2 to 3 months. It was the first and the LAST time I will be getting my hair braided at Awa's shop on Meadowbridge Road Richmond, VA.
the woman that did my hair i showed her a picture of exactly how i wanted it and she did exactly what SHE WANTED TO DO to my hair l, she did the total opposite. and over charged me $5 for something i didn't even ask her for from the jump. im very unsatisfied.
When arrived there were already 3 people infront of me but they were moving fast so I decided to wait. After waiting an hour. Two people who came after me were put before me. Of course they had excuses like not all the stylist could do the style of braids I wanted. The stylist I wanted could not take me in favor of doing her friend's hair. It was just so unprofessional and unappreciative. Had it not been for the fact that I needed my hair done for an event, I would have left. But I will not go back to Awa's again.
