Avanc Salon in Honolulu, HI

I had the best color/cut/style with Alvina.  She really listened to what I wanted and also gave me some great advice on how to deal with my thick/curly hair.  We discussed a wonderful plan on how best to grow my hair a little longer, while keeping a clean and stylish look.  I will be back to see her every 6 weeks!

The 5 stars is strictly for Analee, who does my eye brow threading. She has been my long time go to person for the past 4 years now. We originally met at Beyond Bare Waxing Salon. And I refuse to go to anyone but her. So of course once she moved... like a faithful puppy dog I followed.

Located on kapiolani st. Above pho one restaurant  in Avance' Salon she has her own cute little studio set up.

Parking can seem a bit cramped on busy days, but there are assigned stalls for the salon on the 3rd floor. So be sure to park in ONLY stalls marked "Avance salon".

Once you get inside the salon there is a waiting area. It has very cozy chairs and magazines to keep you occupied. The salon itself is nice but seems a bit small.
It obviously must be good since it's always busy.

Analee is honestly the sweetest and most professional eye brow threader I have. Ever since I met her Analee has always given me top customer service and I great overall experience every time. There is NEVER a day where I go to her leaving with a bad experience. She is very easy to talk to and it makes our time together fly by. Her cheerful attitude always shows, even if she herself is stressed it never affects her work and I love how honest she is. I remember the first time I went to her with really bad eye brows she was able to magically fix it and ever since I never really  have to explain to her how I want it.

Now she not only does my eye brows but my bfs one as well. She's really good at doing my bfs eyebrows without making him look girly or feel weird about it. In fact, even though he's in major denial about it... I know he thinks he looks way better with them done... he even reminds me to make an appointment now.

So if your looking for an eye brow person.... ask for Analee! :)
You won't regret it!

Shout out to Tom! He fixed my "2 haircuts on one head"! There is a saying in Russia: cheap person pays twice (I went to Fantastic Sams prior). Yep. Going to be a good girl and stick with the Hair stylist who knows how to do curly hair from now on. 30+ years experience, he knows his stuff.
Salon is nice and clean, there is covered parking and bathrooms.

About a month ago i went into Avance Salon to get my hair straightened. I loved the energy around the salon. I seen Tammie she was great she offered me water and cookies as i waited. Everyone is great and on point. I love this salon !!

Stunned.  Simply stunned!   at 63 I just got my BEST HAIR CUT EVER!   met Daniel outside the salon and approached him about shaping up my natural curly hair.    Went in yesterday and OMG when I opened the door of the salon was I surprised!  in a secure building....which is rather plain....but NOT the salon!  Busy, buzzing, GREAT vibe!  did I say GREAT?  YES!

Daniel chatted with me about my wants/needs with my hair and the cut then proceeded to chat our way through it.  A kind soul of a gentleman...sadly a rarity anymore.   I left with a HUGE smile....when my husband saw my cut HE flipped too!  (hard man to impress, let me tell ya!)
