Dani Vigil is the best! She knows what she is doing and is sooo good! She has prefected the art of hair, after having doing it most of her life. I don't even like to have my hair done but she is exceptional! I also had a microdermabrasion from her and she made my whole body feel relaxed and rejuvenated! Will always recommend her/her shop!
The BEST place in town!! I have long and very thick hair. I have never had any faith in anyone due to past experiences with my hair being messed up, cut too short, color horrible and so one so forth. But then I met Dani. She has very pretty and thick hair so I was praying she understands my fears. She did. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I will NOT go anywhere else as long as Daniel is still in business. Dani is also the only person who didn't screw up my eyebrows wax. Great colors, great cuts, AMAZING service from Daniel and Co workers. Then there is Cheryl. Another AMAZING stylist! Daniel was on vacation or off 1 time I did a drop in for a quick cut and clean up. Cheryl got me rite in and didn't miss or screw up 1 hair. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! This is the best place all around! What service should be.
If you are NOT an expert on Colors, highlights or just do not know what will work best for you DO NOT go to At The Salon. I made that mistake and came in to see Paulina. She represented herself as a stylist expert and I felt confident that she would choose the right highlights that would work best with my hair color. After giving an explanation of what my desired highlight would be, unfortunately my desired result did not happen. Paulina then states she will CHARGE me to fix it. I don't know of any professional stylist who charges to fix mistakes when the client is unhappy with their job. It's also unprofessional and totally rood to use foul language i.e., "F" word because then I requested a refund or just my tip back, she became angry and started using profanity. At that point I was so so upset and after witnessing her unprofessionalism and roodness, it was not even worth the money, or the aggravation to pursue any further business with Paulina. I don't know of any professional stylist who charges to fix mistakes when the client is unhappy with their job. So so utterly disappointing! But I learned my lesson! There are several professional salons in tehachapi, but At The Salon is definitely not one of them! Especially "stylist" Paulina
I was looking for a new stylist and Cheryl at "At The Salon" came recommended by a friend. I have very difficult hair to color and Cheryl was amazing. She was very careful with making sure that in the coloring process my hair suffered little or no damage, and it didn't! My color came out great. She's a super friendly woman that seems to really take an interest in her clients. I can't say anything about the other stylists there because I haven't personally used them. But I have nothing but praise for Cheryl!
