Art Hair & Makeup Lounge in Woodland, CA

Late Review from last weekend.....I initially contacted Art about getting my hair & makeup done for my wedding next year and then asked if he was available to do my hair/makeup for my engagement photos. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule which was wonderful. I told him kind of what I wanted and let him do the rest. Art is absolutely fantastic and lovely! I almost never do my makeup on the level he did and it turned out really nice. Besides being professional, Art is a wonderful human being and would absolutely recommend him for special occasions! I can't wait to do my hair/makeup trial with Art and my wedding day hair/makeup with him!

Art is a very talented hair stylist. He cut and colored my hair and it is beautiful. I love my hair and even strangers compliment me. The products that I purchased make my hair so soft and shiny. Also the salon is beautifully and decorated.

I had a maternity shoot I was trying to get my hair and makeup done for. I called around to a few places, it was scheduled for a Sunday morning which is not an easy time to find a salon open! Art answered when I called and was so kind to make an exception for when they weren't usually open to come in and help me out. I was so grateful! Met him on a Sunday morning and his work was absolutely phenomenal. I had a timeline to be on to meet my photographer on time and he fit it perfectly, finished about 15-20 minutes before I needed to leave. I was so happy with my hair and makeup and Art was very pleasant to work with. Would come back again anytime if I have the need. Would highly recommend for hair and makeup services.

I came here for the first time to try eyebrow lamination, loved the results (I got so many compliments!), and have come back for round two. Art (the owner) is professional, has a great sense of humor, and extremely passionate about his work. Booking an appointment was very easy, and he was flexible to accommodate my evening availability. The actual eyebrow lamination experience was super easy both times. I appreciated that he walked me through the process during my first visit to get a better idea about what to expect, and the second time we just got right to it. The effect of the lamination lasted about two months, which is much longer than I expected. Art keeps his salon exceptionally clean and not to mention, beautifully decorated. He is bilingual in Spanish and English, which is a huge asset to our community. He is a true Woodland native that loves our community - a main reason (aside from his talent) to why I will keep coming back.

Thank you, Art for saving the day!! We had a bad experience at another local make up location and Art squeezed us in at the last minute for my daughters senior picture photo shoot. He was professional and quick, generous with tips and suggestions, and incredibly talented. My daughter was thrilled with her look and under the studio lights her make up looked stunning. Art truly knows his craft. What could have been a disaster today was totally turned into a positive with this amazing salon's help. Highly recommend Art and his staff for your special day. We will definitely be back (prom style, graduation day, etc). We are truly grateful!!
