This review is very delayed but I do wish Rosana and I lived in the same city so that she could always do my hair, especially with fun colors.
I chanced upon Rosana when I was helping a friend on the Big Island. My friend was due at any time and Rosanna not only squeezed me in but unbeknownst to me, came in on her day off to do my hair.
I love stylists who can create and do something fun and beautiful. A random stranger complimented my hair afterwards that day and said how it reminded him of Pele and the volcanos. It reminds me of the Hawaiian sunsets.
Other than the grays that have grown in, the colors have faded to a very nice caramel highlight throughout, and I haven't found someone that could follow Rosana's beautiful creation so I've only touched up the roots. The last photo is what it looks like now, over 6 months later.
I wish she was near to create something magical for my Burning Man look although she did send me a few ideas.
I received a haircut and style from Micheal and a hair color and style from Rosana and they both did such a beautiful, lovely excellent job on my hair. I feel so much more confident and refreshed after my appointment with them. They both advised me on hair care, tips, and tricks that I never knew before so I also really appreciated the expert knowledge considering my hair is so long and thick that I hardly know what to do with it most of the time! They were both super kind and friendly and the place was very nice, clean, and wonderful. I highly recommend Architec's and Hero's Salon! I will return.
I haven't been able to find a hairstylist that knows how to handle my thick coarse hair. I decided to make an appointment with Paul 3 years ago and I have must say...he is awesome!! I always get compliments on my haircut when I leave the salon. I love that he makes you feel comfortable and talks to you like you have been friends for awhile.
Michael was so fantastic! So personable and did a fantastic job listening to what I wanted and giving me a super chic, stylish haircut. Clearly a master of his craft and so great to have a go to in Kona. Highly recommend!!!
