I had an appointment today with Chelsey at 11:45am . Olivia ( the receptionist) send me a text to reschedule my appt at 11:25am when i was already on my way... they finally decided to take me, so i got to the salon and i was waiting for 1 hour!!! Nobody even apologized or told me that she was running late. So I finally left ! Portland is full of hair salons where i can go spend my $250. This place is a joke! Very unprofessional. Careless people. Good luck!

I have been a frequent customer of the Multnomah Annastasia  Salon for years and had an amazing experience with various stylists and staff. However recently had to visit the Lake Oswego location due to a last minute change to my appointment. At checkout I noticed a higher than normal price for my service eventhough it was performed by a stylist much more junior than my regular one and was told extra product needed to be used. I went on to tell the front desk staff that I have never needed extra product for this service which I receive monthly (I happen to save the receipts which I went back to and checked) and she was impolite and unhelpful and brushed off my concern and told me it's probably because I have never been charged for it before and that she makes sure to let the multnomah salon know to start charging in the future! To be fair the stylist did a nice job on my hair and was courteous but the front desk staff were far from it. I have trusted the Annastasia brand for years and am shocked at the level of rudeness I experienced at this location. I surely hope the salon management know how inconsistent the service is at their various locations and address it. As for me, I'll be sure to never use the services of this location in the future.

I really feel like I was robbed. I didn't like the result at all. I will never go back. Worst service. They charged me more than double what they told me at the beginning. My hair looks like it came out of a fire.

I got a partial highlight from this salon and did not get what I requested, even after filling out the questionnaire and sending pictures. I was hoping to become a lighter blonde and left with my hair darker and yellow. When I went back for a 'correction' all the gal did was a toner that did nothing to brighten it, she left it on for only a minute so it also didn't remove the yellow tone. I also left with my hair half wet and scalp itchy. Overall I think the stylists here are mostly very junior. Save your hair, get what you want, and go elsewhere.

Very upset.  First of all i want to be clear this is only about one stylist and not pertaining to the whole salon.

I called a solid 3 weeks(if not more) to make an appointment for my daughters 15th birthday and I told receptionist what my daughter was wanting done so he would be sure to block enough time.  As a receptionist at a salon you should be aware of the time services take regardless if u do hair or not.  The girl we had an appointment with(who I requested by referral) called earlier in the day to go over what my daughter wanted even though I filled out a detailed form w pics of my daughter and what she was wanting and I could tell by that conversation she was clearly trying to talk her way out of doing the appointment.  She sounded annoyed and flat as she went arnd in circles explaining why we won't be able to do chunky red highlights do to time slot and asked if we r still wanting to come in, I said 'yes whatever u have time for is just fine, she just needs a little change to uplift her confidence.  Her birthday is tomorrow so she's really excited.'
We showed up a little early as a curtesy (the appointment was at 6pm) and she ran about a half hour late no big deal...then as soon as we sit in her chair she explains again that she can only do highlights but they will be chunky like she wants and will just focus on Mohawk section my daughter said that was fine.  She then asked if she had her phone bc it will take at least 3 hours.  What she didn't know is I went to beauty school and used to do hair as well and I thought 3 hours?! That's strange bc she barely needs a trim and leaving with wet hair bc it's super curly and it's late....I leave to go grab my daughters phone at home up the street, was gone for about 15 minutes and when I returned my daughters hair was wet and she was sitting in the lobby.  When I asked her what was going on she said 'I don't know but I guess she can't do my hair today.'  When I went back to ask the stylist (who already had a different client in her chair might I add) she said my daughter was adamant about getting her hair just like the pictures and didn't want anything done if that can't happen.  She also said that she didn't want to start something while I was gone that would cost me another $70 even though I said REPEATEDLY that I'm very flexible with the price and she can do whatever she needs to do.  She ended the conversation with making us an appointment after my daughter bday w a stylist that's not as experienced but will be cheeper as if money was a problem for us-rude! My daughter is VERY quiet and I know she didn't actually say if she can't have it all then she doesn't want it so either the stylist kept asking and asking until my daughter said okay or she selfishly made a decision to benefit herself and took the opportunity while I was gone knowing by the time I got back it would be too late to start-either way it was so disappointing, my poor daughter is barely holding on to life and this was something she was really looking forward to.  It was something to help make her feel good about herself and walk with confidence into a new year and that stylist was too hung over from her vacation to get her job done.

Morel of the story is know there is a lot of young people who work there and it's always possible they will be too hung over to get the job done.  They think very highly of themselves to the point they charge over $325 to put chunky highlights in your Mohawk section w slight trim, and when u wait in the 'lobby' ur head is about 10inches away from a counter where stylist talk about  their day to each other and make appointments while u stare at overpriced products in a space that feels cold and narrow.

I will not be returning to this salon with a big part of it being their lack of customer service.
