Theresia was wonderful. She took time with me, figuring out my hair and discussing what I'd like to have done. I found her personable and very nice, and (most importantly) my hair feels so much better after she worked on it. I am new to Ann Arbor and I see myself going to her for the long-run. One of the things I truly liked about the studio is that it is truly one-on-one: one chair, one designer. So, you have an absolute individualized experience. In addition, the studio does not wreak of trendiness~it feels classic, yet contemporary, and cozy. I offer 4.5 out of 5 for now bc she was late (weather, traffic, etc. understood, but it's a good thing I had an open morning). Aside from that, another good thing: Theresia offers guarantees and touch ups, which is great, as she understands everyone's hair is different and will respond differently to the same cut. I will definitely go back to Ann Arbor Hair, and I highly recommend Theresia.

Really loved the haircut, and as an added bonus Theresia is as lovely, and down to earth as all the reviews say. Several things were stand out to me about this visit: - I knew what style I wanted, how short, how voluminous, etc., and Theresia had the skill to create what I had hoped for! At prior salons I've faced the issue of becoming a creative outlet/experiment for the hairstylist rather than the hairstylist making an effort at creating the style I envisioned. I deeply appreciated that Theresia is client-centered in creating the look the customer wants to wear! - She offers a touch up within a few weeks to polish the cut if for some reason something doesn't sit quite right when styling at home. I think this is a lovely example of attention to customer satisfaction, to detail and evidence that she takes pride in her creations and a job well done. - High end technical skill at a more than fair cost. Often people are willing to pay inflated costs for a bougie experience/venue, and this doesn't necessarily correspond to a more skillful cut. Not my jam-- been there too often and I'm done justifying those expenses for disappointing results. I'd like the best value, which is simply the best quality/cost ratio achievable. Theresia nails this! - Bonus features! Theresia is fun to chat with, a real person, and down to earth. I'm really a fan of natural conversation. Hair services are harder than restaurants in differentiating good places from great places when most places are 4.5-5 stars. So, I really split hairs and did my reading of the top local places and reviews before deciding on a cut by Theresia. Happy I did. Gem of a person and ability-- thanks a bunch and I'll be back!
