Angel Tips Nail Salon in Syosset, NY

I stumbled across this nail salon as I was making a u-turn in the Hot Bagels parking lot. The loveliest couple are the new owners of what used to be Angel Tips. All these negative reviews are for Angel tips, and not this new company. Give them a try! Parking is great and the service is even better. My pedicure looks wonderful. Place is nice and clean.

Ok so they said that the gift card would be accepted at the Angel Tips anywhere...............NOT TRUE! I was just at the Angel Tips in Huntington and THEY DID NOT ACCEPT IT!

I walk in and ask for a GEL pedicure and GEL manicure. Response: yes yes , pick color as they escort me to the wall, I ask "are these gel polishes?", "yes, yes...gel". I ask another woman who works there and is breathing down my neck, "i would like a gel manicure and a gel pedicure". She answers, sure yes...... I wonder why it is that I have been directed to choose a color from a wall that is CLEARLY not gel. Didn't want to make a fuss, maybe they had some new nail polish tech from MIT that I hadn't heard about yet. As the pedicure ends I ask "isn't there supposed to be a light to dry the paint?". They all look at me like I have ordinary nail polish on... "I asked several times, perhaps 8 times if this was gel polish and when I walked into this place it was the first thing I said I NEED A GEL PEDICURE AND A GEL MANICURE". They swarmed me with Chinese and ushering me to the drying machines as though that was what I was trying to talk about. They clearly know how to speak English, they choose to not do so when it benefits their business. As soon as I began to question their shit tactics, they brought in an almost 2 yr old baby to attempt to distract me. These people are relentless. They turn people into slaves and they try to scam others into thinking they are getting a reputable service. those licenses on the walls are fake. this is a slave factory.

Asked for regular gel manicure and regular nail polish pedicure. She told me to pick a color and led me to gel polish to do so. Cost of regular gel is $30 she led me to some special polish that cost my gel manicure to be $45- because it lasts longer. I didn't ask for that. Nice place, nice job but felt really ripped off leaving there paying almost $60. I even told her she should do the right thing and charge me for what I asked for. She said "sorry" and charged $54 anyway. With 5 other nail places in the area I can go to, that was a really stupid move.

Extremely overpriced and the colors are very old. My nail polish chipped after a day. Probably one of the most expensive nail salons I've been to on LI for mani/pedi which were equivalent to NYC prices. The salon is small and not very modern.
