Alter Ego in Syosset, NY

I just left there with one of the best blow out's I have ever had. I have naturally curly and thick hair (aka a pain in the butt to straighten.)I had bought the Groupon for a blow out and my stylist Nicole is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I explained to her how I had a terrible experience somewhere else where they destroyed my curly hair. That I would just put it up cause I didn't want to look at it anymore. Nicole was so sweet and knowledgeable she explained how I could fix it. I'm so grateful that she took her time I feel like a new person. This is my new permeant salon. Thank you so much for giving my hair life again.

Took my 15 year old here for a hair cut on a recommendation. We were both super happy with the service and professionalism of her stylist Nicole. So much so that I decided to go back to see Nicole for myself today. I had a root touch up and Balayage along with a hair cut. She listened to exactly what I wanted and it came out fantastic. I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be going back. They are a little on The pricey side but it's worth it.

I was on the prowl for a balayage to my flat and one-note hair color (which I had box dyed black one too many times). But I was scared of being an Indian girl with god forbid blonde or orange hair. I heard good things about Colleen from a family friend, and honestly the balayage she did went beyond all of my expectations!! Colleen understood my vision and gave me the most beautiful sun kissed highlights, after about 2+ hours of work. They were perfect for the summer and I received endless compliments on how much dimension and volume my hair received from the dye job. I came back about 6 weeks later to get a glaze (the color became brassy), and now it's a more subtle caramel tone. She did such an amazing job in my first true experiment with color that I doubt I will go back to my natural hair color any time soon. The overall experience at this salon was great. They give great service (tea, coffee, bagels). The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. My hair job was pricier than some of the groupon deals I saw online, but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for - I paid a good price for a very professional hair coloring treatment and have been told this by stylists and friends alike. Definitely see myself returning!

I bought 3 blowouts from Groupon. The first blowout was done by a junior stylist who seemed to be doing mostly hair washing at the salon when I arrived and I waited 20 minutes although I did have an appointment. She told me she really wanted to be a colorist. The blowout was awful. I did go back for the 2nd and again they gave me a student who was there to wash clients hair - a different one. She was very sweet but did an awful job. I forfeited the 3rd blowout as each time I had to go home and redo my hair. When I complained to the receptionist, she just rolled her eyes. I would never go back or recommend them as they don't seem to care about the job done or the contentment of their clientele.

I love this place. Yes, it's a little bit higher in price, but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! Patti is a genius! The salon staff is helpful and sweet! The salon is tastefully decorated and always clean. I have been to many many salons and none of them compare to the quality of service you will experience here. 5 stars!!!!
