American Nails in Depew, NY

Received a pedicure. Everything was great until it came time to polish my toe nails. Horrible polish job, polish everywhere. I ended up removing it and re-polishing them..

As my normal nail tech is out of the country for a month I was looking for someone to do a basic gel manicure and found the relatively positive reviews for American Nail here. I went in later in the day on a Saturday and thought Linda did a nice job. Later that night, the top layer of color began lifting from the first layer of color on one of my nails so I used some nail glue to press it back together. The next day on Sunday I had multiple nails that began peeling up but was going to the Bills game so I had to wait until Tuesday to go back in (Monday was a holiday so they were closed). I assumed the nail polish was just old or had gone bad (it was a white book of gel colors and the color number was 155) so I went in after work today (Tuesday) and explained what happened and asked if the color could simply be replaced. The man who owns the salon proceeded to say it was my fault for picking at the nails and peeling the color away (I did so on a couple nails only because my hair kept getting caught under the parts that had lifted off my nail - ladies you know what I'm talking about!) and I explained that was not what had caused my nails to be in the condition they were in. He became hostile and wouldn't back down and said he could change the polish for me but would have to charge me $25 to do so. I explained I had just paid over $30 three days ago and didn't understand why I would be charged again when it was their product that had been defective. He said the same color would be free but the problem WAS the color/product so why go through the process of taking it all off just to put it back on and have it peel off in another two days? He wasn't budging and told me he would remove the color but I could go somewhere else to have them fix it. By the time he was removing the color my hands were shaking I was so uncomfortable. Linda was in there as well and had another patron with her so for him to act that way in front of another customer I found pretty unacceptable, even after I made it a point to repeat out loud that this was not her fault. Anyways, long winded but I have never had this happen to my nails before and have never been treated this way before in a customer service capacity so wanted to share the information, especially since it was the owner. Sadly, if he had simply swapped the polish out quick I would've said thank you and been back the next time I couldn't see my regular lash tech and would've recommended the salon to others as well as a quick affordable option. I went to a different salon on my way home and they were extremely nice and put a very similar color on for me that looks awesome so far. Needless to say I am never going back to American Nail - the way you treat people really means everything!

I had the deluxe pedicure and it was very relaxing. It included hot wax, hot stone massage and a great massage. My nails look great. This is a very clean salon and it doesn't smell bad. I have been to other salons that give me a headache from the nail products. Everyone was incredibly nice. I will be back!

Tianna is the best! American Nails is a awesome place to get waxed, nails, pedi's, eyelashes. I recommend them big time.

The best nail salon in the Depew/Lancaster area! They are very nice and the salon is very clean! They are taking a lot of safety precautions such as taking temperatures and sanitizing after every client. I would highly recommend this salon.
