Allure Hair Salon in Lubbock, TX

This is not a walk-in establishment. There is not a receptionist to direct you at an available stylist or answer the phone.

If i could give more than five stars i so would!! I was in search of a good salon since i just recently moved from California. So i found this salon on Facebook, it has the most reviews and good ones too. The profile convinced me to call for pricing and openings. The salon owner, John, answered and was very helpful and polite enough to call back with a day of opening, since i was in desperate need of hair help. So I walk into the salon and instantly I'm greeted by John. Salon was very clean and he even let my son control the tv. I was not expect to get my hair shampooed but its a big plus that they do this here!! He had on some cool classic 80s music playing so I instantly felt very welcomed lol I love big 80s hair and i told him that and omg i must say not only am i in love with my hair, but my boyfriend is too lol he delivered exactly what i wanted. Im so stoked i plan on coming back for sure. I totally recommend this place. You not only walk out with gorgeous hair but you sit in the chair with confidence knowing he has 30+ years experience in this bizz. Thanks again John!!!

My daughter went to a trim at Allure. Her former visits were only $20. She came home and was very upset that she was charged $40. I called to ask why it was so much, as the norm is usually $30. I spoke to the owner John and he explained that was his price and my 17 year old daughter didn't ask. He informed me that everyone's prices may be different and to ask before the service so there is no miscommunication. I'm giving him 5 stars because we came to an agreement and he demonstrated his integrity and willingness to make a bad situation into a positive one. I appreciated his attitude. Most owners get offensive and become rude. John did not get offended, but rather offered a solution that would keep my business and for that reason we will continue to do business with Allure.

My stepdaughter went to Laura to get her hair permed last week. We advised her not to because her hair was in bad shape and has been colored way too many times. She went anyway and Laura attempted to perm her hair. When she got home it was a dry mess. It was the texture of very dry grass and kept breaking off. The next morning as she combed her hair, it began falling out in clumps. It was awful!!! Her long flowing hair is now a short pixie cut. I'm furious that someone who is a licensed stylist would agree to treat her hair. She will never be back!!

I had bought a groupon for Laurie. I don't regret it. The best job I've had done in a long time. She knew exactly what I wanted. The highlights, cut, and style done to the perfection. She made sure at every step that I was satisfied before she moved to the next step. That's not the end...... Another stylist went in to Laurie's booth to ask if she wanted lunch. Before the stylist walked out she made sure she didn't 4get ask me for my order. Very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend This salon especially Laurie to everyone!
