I recently got micro blading done here at the salon. My micro blading technician is named Tiffany. She gave me excellent service, she told me what was going to be done, she explained the pain level, and she also did it at my pace since I am sensitive to pain. The salon itself is very beautiful, clean, and inviting. The staff was so welcoming and I really appreciated that. I have been going to About Face for about 4 years and have always had a good experience. The entire staff is so kind and welcoming, and you can tell that the people who work there enjoy being together. Kiersten Tucker has been my stylist for the entire time. She is comical, fun-loving and extremely personal and caring. She really takes the time to hear what I'm looking for in a color/cut and will offer honest opinions and alternatives if something won't work or look good on me. Sometimes I am just getting my greys covered, and other times we get adventurous and try several colors. She helps me to get a little outside of my comfort zone and try new things. I have trusted her opinion each time, and not once have I walked out of there disappointed in the outcome. . Highly highly recommend About Face for all your hair cut and color needs!
I LOVE this salon! The environment is very relaxing and inviting. All of the staff are super friendly and professional. And my hair has never looked better :) Every single stylist there is very talented with their trade. Kiersten Tucker is my favorite stylist to go to. She's adorable and always makes me feel so comfortable. She's very flexible with whatever I'm wanting whether it's color, cut, style or all of the above. And whenever she does my hair, it always ends up being better than I could have imagined. I no longer live in Virginia anymore, and other than family this is probably what I miss the most. I make sure to visit whenever I am in town!
It really hurts me to do this because it's such a pretty and neat looking salon and I've never left a one star review before but I have never been this disappointed after leaving a salon. My hair was already dyed blonde and my roots are a dark brown. It was my first time at About Face today and my appointment was with Amanda at 11:30 and I left at around 2:30. I have been dying my hair blonde for two years now and never had the issues like I had today. The all over color was okay but my roots hurt my heart to even look at. I have attached pictures. A lot of my dark hair is showing and orange blotches are everywhere. Some spots it's a lot of the dark brown and some are the awful orange. Anyway you look at it it's just awful. I pointed all of this out to Amanda and she agreed that there were orange spots and my natural hair color was showing a lot. She gave me a small discount and said I could come back Next week to get it fixed for 50 dollars... I don't know if I will go back. I'll probably just call and cancel because I don't think I want to spend anymore money here. The pictures don't even do the justiceJust disappointed.
