La La's Salon in Lynchburg, VA

I went here for regular coffin acrylic nails right, the person who did my nails, she had everything right but she did not brave them smooth whatsoever. I never even ended up getting gel like I asked but got charged $75! For basic. Haven't been back since.

Friendliness: 4/5 Cleanliness: 2.5/5 Highlights/Balayage: 2/5 Products (Aveda's line I believe): 2.5/5 Cut: 3/5 The short version: while the staff was super nice, the services I received were mediocre and it's unlikely that I'll return. The long version: First, I didn't notice any customers under the age of around 50. While this isn't a red flag so to speak, mature hair services and contemporary hair services are different. That being said, when I sat down I told the stylist I wanted a "cool toned blonde" with a 2-3 inches off the bottom. At the end of my appointment, I was left with a color that was very brassy at the top and what seemed to be a slight trim off the bottom. I'm also not sure that the products used agreed with my hair, as the blow dry section of my appointment was a particularly painful experience. I left the salon still attempting to get some knots out. I'm aware I should have spoke up about my dissatisfaction at the end of my appointment, but I had already been at the salon for at least 3 hours, and I honestly felt too shy and stunned to speak up. A couple days later I ended up going to a different salon for color correction. I'm not fluent in hair styling vernacular, but from what I gather from my experience at the second salon, the amount of correction necessary to get my hair where I wanted it to be was considerable. Overall, I'd say if you're getting something straightforward or simple, you probably won't have a problem at this salon, like I said, the staff is very friendly and have some experience. However, I would not recommend this salon for balayage services or a drastic color change. Overall Experience: 2.5/5

I have been going to La La's for the last year. I recently moved to Boston and I am still married to my hairstylist Travis. Everyone here is welcoming and wants to make sure their clients look fantastic. Roberta is always on point with my eyebrows and the shampoo is literally my favorite part because it's a much needed relaxing head massage. If you're looking for a place who knows how to do hair, you found your place!

Super impressed by everyone having 20+ years experience in this salon! My hair was colored and cut by the owner, Laura, and I love it! She listened and did exactly what I asked for. The salon is super clean and everyone that works there is friendly. While my color set, Roberta did a fantastic job on my nails. One stop shop for a mom on the go! This is my go-to salon for nails and hair!

In town for work and needed to get my nails done for a holiday party. Roberta did a great job on my gel manicure. I got in and out during my lunch break.
