907 Nails and Spa in Anchorage, AK

I went here for a mani pedi before I went on vacation in October 2023, three hours later I still didn't have polish on either my finger or toe nails, in fact I had placed my socks and shoes back on after soaking due to waiting for a long period of time. I wait all year to have this done as I work in healthcare and cannot wear polish of any sort throughout the year. It's also important to me because of course, I'm going on vacation. So.. it took a long time, this is something I've never experienced before. It was, to say the least, a hardship but not the worse part of the experience. Next, I wanted a nice design on my nails for my trip, my nail tech was slightly upset about that as he couldn't do it and informed me that I'd have to wait for someone else to do that unless I would kindly change my mind and get polish only with out French tips and a Mickey Mouse stamp type design. When I made this appointment, I specifically stated what I was coming in for. So I waited, and waited and waited. Finally, three hours later I got to the table were they paint nails, and the tech started painting my nails without shaping them at all, they were my natural nails and I wanted them shaped up nicely maybe slightly pointy, I saw it online and thought it would be fun. Mind you this whole time I'm trying so hard to be a nice person and not a "Karen" , but when I mentioned, it, I said, " I'm sorry, I hate to seem difficult but are you going to file them to a reasonable shape? The tech got upset and "said but look how short this one nail is!" And I said I realize that, but I'd still like them shaped up a bit, I felt an overwhelming sense of negativity and lack of understanding or ability to communicate. She and one of the workers stood up around me making me think I was going to be thrown out by a bouncer. And then a nice tech that was sitting right there jumped up from her customer and said, I'll do it! It's ok and then proceeded to try so hard to make me happy. I wish I knew her name so I could leave a kind word. My nails were not what I had imagined they would've been when I left but I needed to leave as soon as possible as this was the worst customer service experience of my life. You'd have to be there to experience it to understand how this felt. I'm not one to go into a business and cause trouble for the workers, I'm pretty against that as I too work in customer service and I understand the abuse they endure. The worst part of this experience was my cuticles were bloodied and trashed when I left, and they weren't pushed back a little bit like I've normally experienced and the paint dried over my bloody cuticles into a big blob. So I stewed on it for a couple of weeks and then I messaged them. They asked me to call and I did, I am sure I recognized the person who answered as the lady who was upset and refused to shape my nails or even look at me again after I made a honest and reasonable request. She stated, thank you for not giving a bad review and talking to us first, I will inform the owner too. I did tell her I wasn't looking for financial compensation I just wanted them to know that what happened to me that day was wrong and it'd be great if no one else has to go through things like this at their business. I don't think my message was passed on to the owner, or maybe the person who was involved in this whole rotten experience was the owner. I just don't know. Never the less, I'll never go back nor will I ever send anyone I care for there. I work with hundreds of women. A simple acknowledgement of this mistake and good communication goes a long way. I never leave a bad review for businesses, all mine are glowing because I feel it's important to be recognized. In this case, maybe it also important to recognize areas that need improvement. I was charged full price for the experience, even as I left trying hard not to shed any tears. Find another spot. They never tried to contact me to reconcile the relationship.

It was my first time here and I thought it was good. I loved most of the staff and the music were old jams so enjoyed it verrrry much. Vibe started off good and I would've given it a 5 stars but then after couple hours, a staff member was just rude and unprofessional that I had to take away a star. The reason I don't often get my nails done is because I can't stand being around people who like to talk about you in their language. Vietnamese are notorious for doing that! This place didn't throw this vibe when we got there but the Domican lady there got rude! When you want to speak in your language to your client about other workers and clients then mocked them and their language, that's a big no no. I'll go back to this place, only if she's not there! Dalena was a sweetheart and did my daughter's nails. She loved it and we will definitely go back to her. Owner was lovely also and made us feel so welcomed! My nails look like crap but whatever, I know I won't be going back to that lady.

I wish I would have seen these reviews before picking a nail salon today.  The gel polish I chose ended up being one that had multiple steps and I wish I wouldn't have picked it.  My nail tech was sick and told me she felt like she had a fever when she was already working on my nails.  She seemed frustrated (rolled her eyes at one point) and really didn't do a good job with my paint job, I understand she was sick but it's not my fault that she had to work and if I would have known beforehand I wouldn't have chosen that salon.  The whole interaction and experience was really uncomfortable.  She cut one of my cuticles, got paint on my skin with almost every finger and toe, and the top coat is leaked over onto my cuticles so I know this set is going to peel quickly.  Also my manicure/pedicure were $120.  They only do gel but there must be an up charge for it still?  I got a $50 pedicure and gel polish removal/reapplication on my fingers and it was $120 somehow.  Then she said "if anything is wrong come back in". Like she knew she didn't do a good job.  I don't live in anchorage so I wouldn't have the ability to come back anyways.  Needless to say I'll never be going back there, very disappointing. I tipped and shouldn't have.

Nearly 2 hours for a pedi. The staff was unorganized. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Always have a great experience here. The ladies are super nice and welcoming. I never have to make an appointment, so that's a plus. I've only done pedicures however.
