2 DYE 4 Salon in Duluth, MN

I have been trying out different hair salons in Duluth for years. I've been wanting to cut my hair short for around 5 of those years. My experience was always the same, I'd show my stylist some photos of things I wanted or say what I wanted, and the stylist would always choose the longest cut or convince me to keep it "long enough to tuck behind my ears". Well, this place was different. Megan Youngren gave me the best haircut I've had in a long time. She actually listened to my input, discussed with me how the style would look on me vs the pictures, and showed me how to style it afterwards! No next week hair flops for me! She also waxed my eyebrows, and they were mostly well done, but I think she went a little too thin on one spot. The staff is very friendly. Aside from my own conversation, I heard almost every other client having lively discussion with their stylists. Overall, this was the best experience I've had at a hair salon, and my hair looks great!

Have been going here for years and haven't had a bad experience yet! Megan is efficient, friendly, and knows what she's doing. I have thick hair and have struggled to find a stylist that knew how to cut it and color it (as I think it lifts colors in a weird way) but Megan nails it every time. I've gone to a different stylist at this salon when she was on maternity leave and was not disappointed. They're all friendly, helpful, and I trust them with my locks. They also have a great masseuse! Can't recommend this place enough.

I ended up with the worst haircut of my life. I have blonde fine hair and it ended up chopped. The stylist didn't listen to my requests to keep it long in front and shorter in back. All she had to do was shorten it all over by 2 inches. I now have a giant chunk right in front that is about 5 inches shorter than the rest of my hair. I emailed the shop and their solution was to let Nikki have another chance to fix my hair. Sorry but if never let her near my hair again! After I asked to see someone else they just never got back to me. I even gave them another chance! I set an appointment on my own and when I got there I waited 45 minutes only to be told my appointment was for another day at a different time. The receptionist never even double checked to make sure my appointment was correct until she realized the stylist had taken other appointments and I was still sitting in the waiting room. I now have to go someplace that actually has their act together and pay for another haircut.

2 Dye 4 Salon did a great job on my and my bridesmaids' hair. It was very convenient to have them come over to our hotel to do our hair. They worked very professionally and quickly to get their hair done (not to mention they were a lot of fun!!). I was the bride and did not have a hair trial. However, even without a trial and my vague description of what look I was going for they did a good job pulling it off and I was never worried it would be a problem. The hair stayed up and beautiful the entire wedding and none of the bridesmaids had problems with the look going limp or falling out. I would recommend using them for weddings. They did a great job, thank you guys!!
