I received a text message on my birthday (04/19/1992) from Zip Tanz followed by a link. The link stated Happy Birthday and to enjoy a $1 spray tan and/or $1 UV tan. Valid day before, day of or day after. I went to the salon one day after my birthday (04/20/2022) thinking the gift was still valid. The lady at the front desk said "Oh, we don't offer that nor have I ever heard of us doing that." I was confused.. I showed her proof of the text and link I received. I was pretty shocked and quite upset that they would not honor the gift. I've been to the salon several times and had great customer service up until yesterday. I was really looking forward to my visit just to relax and wasn't willing to pay $15 for one visit. Please don't send out texts with invalid information.
I live in Canton yet I have had negative experiences with trying to obtain a Spray Tan using VersaPro at the Cherry Hill and Haggerty (Canton) location and go to Plymouth instead (regularly). One time (March 2021) I was told the computers were down most of the day and to go to the Plymouth location. More recently (May 2021) I was told there was, "no water" and as a result couldn't use the VersaPro Sunless tanning booth--and to try the Plymouth location. So 2 stars (at best) at the Canton location. So I go regularly to the Plymouth location. It seems at times recently (May/June 2021) there isn't consistency in the results of the sunless tan using VersaPro at the Plymouth Location. I follow the same procedure prepping (exfoliating) and sometimes I get the color I want in 5 hours (using the Medium setting) and sometimes it takes 8 hours. Wish it were more consistent like it was over the 12 + months prior. So 4 stars at the Plymouth/Sheldon Road location. Matt
I love coming here. This salon is so clean, friendly and always has beds/stand ups available. They also are very willing to educate you on the tanning process!
I never feel like the people are friendly working there. Today when I came in I saw that a certain bed was empty and asked if I could have bed 6 and the girl rudely said I have to clean it and I already put you in 16. Mind you I was the ONLY ONE in the place....! One day I came in and it might have been the owner or manager but he was the nicest one there. Also I cancelled my membership and changed my mind and wanted to continue it and the girl said sorry you can't take a lower package or some nonsense but to keep a customer I would have signed me up!! Oh well there's other salons around!!
Not the same owner as had the location over in Livonia! So much better here and Clean! Staff is fairly knowledgeable and for $40 a month I stay golden.
