I wish there was an option for no stars. I picked up this massage package as a groupon. It was actually a gift from my husband to test out to see if I liked their services. I just had a baby and it was a much needed appointment. I called to schedule an appointment and the woman was not very friendly on the phone. In fact, her customer service skills were horrible. It was a bit hard to understand her on top of it. Not thinking too much into it as well as telling myself she will not be the one conducting the services, I kept the appointment. Two full days before my appointment another appointment was going to conflict with my massage and facial. I therefore called zinc spa as soon as I knew to be respectful of their time. The woman proceeds to tell me too bad and I will still be charged or lose my groupon. Apparently, you need to call a week before in order to reschedule. This is insane! My family owns a hair salon and would never expect clients to call a week in advance. We understand things can happen. I am extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to this appointment...and was in shock of how rude this woman was as she proceeded to patronized me as to why they may have policies in place like this. I would understand if I was frequently canceling but this was my first time coming to try the spa. Needless to say I will be telling my family and friends to stay away. I've been reading reviews about the 1 week cancellation policy. I would have had my husband return this right away if I knew. With a four month old baby I can't commit to this type of policy. I called two days ahead to reschedule not cancel and thought the owner would be a bit more understanding. I have not even had a chance to try the spa. I thought the point of groupon is to generate new business...

I went for the second time to Zinc Spa a few days ago and I have to say I'm disappointed. My first experience was great. I got a gel manicure and it was done well at a great price. This time though I'm disappointed. After only a few days my gel manicure is peeling off of my nails on its own. Also, I can see my nails through the remaining manicure (though I should have just asked for another coat while I was still there so I can't put 100% of the blame on them). As far as customer service goes the woman doing my nails was wonderful, very sweet and pleasant to talk with while getting the manicure, however the owner (who was doing other manicures) kept talking about needing to leave and as a result was rushing through the manicures. I understand having other commitments completely don't get me wrong, but we had made appointments for the manicures. Granted both the owner and the other employee were both doing two manicures simultaneously, however if the timing was going to be too tight I would have rather been told that when making the appointments and I would have scheduled them for a better time. Honestly the rushing and the transparent color were things that I was going to just let go, but once the polish started peeling off without me even picking at it that was when I decided it was just too much not done right. Overall I'm not happy with my latest experience here. I'm now in a position where I have to go out and pay to have my nails redone at a different nail salon since I have an event tomorrow and two of my nails no longer have the gel on them at all. After reading other reviews here on yelp and relating them to my latest experience I don't think I'll be coming back here. Even though my first experience here was great, that unfortunately is not enough to counteract all of the other poor reviews, the owners rude responses to those reviews, and my latest experience. I understand defending your business against disgruntled former clients, however there is a tactful, professional way to do so and I did not see that done in this case. I was, quite frankly, taken aback by the owner's rude responses, which is the main reason I won't return here. Customer service goes a long way, and while I received great service from the employee doing my nails that's not enough to balance what I saw from the owner both firsthand at the location as well as what I read from the owner's responses here on yelp.

Avid Spa Goer & GroupOners BEWARE!!!! This is by far the worst spa experience & customer service experience I have had in a long time or actually ever! All I can say, is DO NOT support this business or the RUDE owner! They are understaffed, the owner is rude, Grouponers beware as they sell hundreds of them and then treat you like complete crap and the spa itself is more of a glorified nail salon, blah.

AWFUL OWNER!!!!!!!! Fist the prices' are very high, I don't know how they stay in business. Anyway right now I currently get laser treatment by Brittney she is awesome (but don't let Rashni aka the owner do a laser she does not do a good job at all). Brittney is wonderful, pleasant and super nice. She gets my neck awesome and doesn't miss anything. Recently I was told by the owner that Brittney was let go and her as the owner would decide if she could come back, well that was a LIE because 2 weeks later I talked to Brittney at Zinc and she said she took personal time. WHAT KIND OF BOSS/OWNER LIES TO THEIR CUSTOMER'S. Anyway a week earlier I missed an appointment due to the awful snow we had and I live 40 min away. Now I barely made it to my kids school 5 min down the street so I knew I could not make it there, so I called and left a message before they opened to let them know I couldn't make it. The owner Rashni called me back and proceeded to tell me I would have to still pay for that visit. She says there are signs posted around spa about this policy. I know I have been in that spa 6 times now and not once did I see a sign about this policy. She proceeded to argue with me. The attitude and nastiness that came out of her mouth appalled me. WHAT KIND OF OWNER DOES THAT TO A PAYING CUSTOMER........ RASHNI IS MEAN TO CUSTOMER'S AND SOOOOO RUDE TO HER EMPLOYEES. Rashni you need business educate 101. Kara Granville

I am completely horrified that a business owner exploits clients like this on social media! These are comments that, at MOST should be replied in something private like, I don't know an e mail! I honestly do not know how this business is still open! Shame on you for speaking to a PAYING client that way!
