I have gone to Zen for years and had service with Shandon. She's great with blonde color and highlights as well. I tried different salons in Shorewood and Whitefish Bay before finally landing on Zen. Also, the prices are very reasonable.
I was referred to this salon and after reading the reviews, it seemed more promising. My stylist was Shandon and I have nothing but great things to say! My hair was very long. And since I was used to it being long for years, it was a little nerve wrecking letting a person who's never cut my hair before do a drastic cut. I couldn't have been anymore happier with my choice! The atmosphere is pleasant. The staff was very accommodating and friendly (bonus). I was greeted by Shandon and got straight to business. She worked with me and made sure I felt comfortable about my decision. She also gave me a heads up on many things that weren't going to be exactly like I wanted which I was fine because I was prepared for that part. But none of that even mattered after I saw the cut. It was awesome. She was awesome as well! She did a great job and I was highly pleased with my choices! I will definitely be going back and I did get to see the other stylists work on the client next to me which also looked fabulous. I highly recommend this place.
I can't say enough good things about this salon, stylists and owner. I followed Elif (the owner) from her previous salon because she is so amazing. She is a beautiful person, inside and out. My relationship to her and the salon has evolved into a friendship which is something I adore! I still see Elif as a stylist occasionally, but usually go to Shandon who is phenomenal. I have referred many friends and family to her because she is just that great. She really listens to what you need and will work with you to find a perfect cut or color. I get compliments on my highlights all of the time! I recommend people to this salon all the time because I just love them that much!
I've been going to Zen to get my hair done with Shandon for about 2 years. Color or cut Shandon knows her stuff- I have long, thick hair and a ton of it and she always knows exactly what to do even when I don't. I know once I'm in her chair I'll be taken care of. Each time I arrive for my appointment I know I'm going to leave looking my best. From the atmosphere to the employees- Zen is the place to be.
