Zaina Brows Threading Salon in Amherst, NY

She does great threading work, but unfortunately that did not translate into great microshading work for me. I expressed concern about the shape and uneveness of the brows when they were drawn on before the procedure and I was told to trust her. I was indeed unhappy with how they turned out as they are shaped different, one is lower, and one goes farther towards my nose. I was told by the owner that they look great and nothing was wrong with them, just needed a touch up. Unfortunately, you can't touch up misplaced ink. If the other brow was made longer to match it would look like a unibrow too close together. And the shape of them is just not the same. Note, in the second photo I have concealer covering the longer part by the nose but you can see this better in the first photo. I had to spend a huge amount of money on tattoo removal in addition to the botched microshading. But by all means, if you want your brows to look like this then go here!

I used to go to the mall at one of the walk in kiosks to get my eyebrows done. However, the mall kiosks were closed and I was in need to tame the fuzzy caterpillars on my face. I did a quick Google search and found Zainas. I was able to book an appointment easily online, and the shop confirmed in minutes. The person that took care of me was very friendly and gentle, she was an artist as she shaped and threaded my eyebrows. I found my new place for eyebrows threading and I will no longer use the walk in mall kiosks

Posting my review from Google so yelpers know as well. I went to Zaina's place for full face threading, waxing, eyebrows, and upper lip for about 2 years from 2018-2020. I had never gotten threaded before and Zaina's was the first and only place I ever went to. Usually, she was pleasant and did a decent job. There was often times she would forget a few strays of hair by my brows or upper lip. Usually I would catch it and let her know and other times I wouldn't and would notice at home. She didn't do a good job with sideburns. My sideburns can grow out long and thick, so it was very noticeable when they didn't match and she didn't know how to make it look natural by going in and threading it after. My worst experience was August 2020 after which I no longer went to Zaina's. After two years of knowing me, she knew to thread my upper cheeks since they're sensitive. This time, I assume she was rushing and she waxed them with hot wax. I told her the wax was really hot when she was doing my sideburns first but she dismissed me. After, when she did my upper cheeks with wax (to my surprise) I felt stinging. She obviously saw what she did to one side of my face but she went ahead and put very hot wax to the other side of my face and I was left with broken skin as seen on the picture. She didn't say anything to me about what happened and when I went home is when I noticed she pulled off my skin off as the area became red and swollen. I messaged her on Instagram and she dismissed me and said just to put ice on the skin. No apologies. I was attending a wedding that weekend and I couldn't apply makeup in that area. I was left with scarring on both sides of my face for about 1-2 months. In terms of her mannerisms, she can be very rude at times and keep her salon door locked. You could have an appointment and she won't open the door for about five minutes after knocking. Every time I visited, she had a different mood and it was very unprofessional. I waited so long to write this review because she is a small business owner and sometimes she did good work. However, after going to a new threading place that has been amazing every time, I realized Zaina's work was messy, careless, and she was very unprofessional with clients. I would be wary of going here if you do more than just eyebrows. If you have thicker hair, do your full face, use wax, or expect pleasant behavior every visit - you may be disappointed.

She was extremely sweet and let me and my boyfriend come in early. She threaded them beautifully (and extremely quick) and we are very happy!
