Bad spot. Hours posted on door are wrong. Enter the building and nobody says anything to you like hi how can we help you. Feel like you have to be Mexican or speak spanish to come here or your an outcast. Made an appointment for a haircut (had to play 21 questions because they didn't seem interested in a man's haircut). I have been here many times. The haircuts are a hit or miss. Sometimes they are somewhat good or sometimes they are bad. Not a horrible price for 18 bucks or so.... So to sum it up, speak spanish if you come here, don't make an appointment because they won't keep it, and ignore the posted hours on the door... they close whenever they feel like it.
I'm not sure what the name of my lady was. she was pretty young and very sweet. so, my hair was pretty much a mop on my head when I first walked in, basically came in with my hair as a thin, tangled, not washed ,mainly split ends, mess. I left there with bouncy,cute,fresh feeling hair. she did a great job with layering and feathering my hair with a cute wispy bang to go with. I have alot more confidence compared to when I first walked in. 10/10. would recommend.
Susana, who is the new proprietress of the salon, did a super job on my hair. I had been cutting my own hair (thanks Covid!) and my hair was so very long and unstyled for 2+ years. I have vacation plans for the summer so decided it was time! I needed a Saturday appointment with 2 days lead time- couldn't find an appt at a decent salon that could work on my curly, coarse hair. Add to the fact, no one has been able to lighten my hair- always has turned reddish instead of golden in my previous attempts to highlight my locks. Well, she did it! She really devoted time and energy and it came out fab. Very pleased and I will be maintaining my locks with Susana at Yola Salon! I loved the superb attention to detail, no nonsense, no frills salon that gets the job done!
Wish I could give no stars. Tried to schedule pedicures for my boyfriend and I, but they don't do them right now. Even though they have signs in the window advertising them. Bad customer service.
