Wellness Center at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure in Lake Lure, NC

Had a fantastic experience getting a manicure and pedicure before my wedding! Both my mother and I got our nails done, and it was such a relaxing experience. Diamond and Susan were the best and most attentive! They gave my mom and I exactly what we wanted and helped us really have a nice time.

The massage  was great, but they would not do the facial for my wife, even though we both have been cleared of quarantine for weeks , and the health department says we are clean, we are from Ohio , they said that Ohio is different than North Carolina , this was false I looked, they have they exact same requirements. Both Ohio and North Carolina says if you clear quarantine you pose no risk .Both Ohio and North Carolina no longer used Test base strategy to return to work , or to get out of quarantine. ( it's unreliable) I posting pics from NC website , both Ohio and NC refer you to link on CDC on people who had Covid. It would be ok if they just said I'm sorry I don't feel comfortable, since you had Covid , giving you a facial, could understand that . But to lie, and make  us  feel bad because we are out several weeks , after meeting the requirements of both NC and Ohio.Trying to make us feel bad , like we are outcast was wrong ,also lying about North Carolina current policy on Covid was also wrong. Just tell the truth. An example of something said, was we should ( or wife) shouldn't go out in public and take mask off ( like when eating at restaurant) etc she was a health risk .

I have enjoyed both manicures and a pedicure at the Spa and Salon atRumbling Bald.  Diamond is fantastic and very meticulous. She is careful to get all of dead skin from the cuticles. She also does a great job polishing nails even with my small ones.  Their prices are in line with other salons and I'm happy to have them in the area.  Great for your vacation or a regular appointment.

The salon part of Rumbling Bald resort is pretty pathetic. The women are very nice, but their quality of work is very sub par. My "manicure" and "pedicure" were NOT that at all. The massage chair for the pedicure did not work, I dont think they even clipped or filed my toe nails. They certainly didn't scrape out any lint under my toe nails or cut my cuticles. The paint job the put on there was that of a 10 year old. The paint wasnt even, it was all on my skin and chipped off the following day.

As for my finger nails.... the exact same. it was not a manicure and they simply took off my old polish and applied new. They also painted my skin and it chipped within days (yes, the gel chipped). The only reason I give them is a 2 is because the women were very nice and personable.

The hair was a bit better than the "mani/pedi" and was certainly more satisfied with that part. Make up was decent as well. Nothing special.

I enjoyed a spa package which included a massage, facial, and peppermint foot scrub. Very professional, comfortable, and well-done.
