I want to thank Christine for not only making my vision come to fruition but exceeding it. When I tell you the feeling of no longer feeling self conscious of the state of my hair is priceless. When I walked into her salon I was terrified she would tell me there was nothing she could do BUT Christine reassured me of what my options were and what would be best and realistic for me and made me feel so comfortable and most importantly listened to my concerns/ fears. When I tell you to wake up this morning and not have check my bald spot to see what I have to fill in and not see black pencil on my pillow because of my sides being bald was a wonderful feeling. What she does is not simply "do hair" she s an ARTIST! Christine gave me a feeling of beauty when I have felt ugly for so long. I could go on and on. Bottom line she is wonderful! and I will be seeing her again in a few months

The location of her shop is bad.. it smells like fish on the inside . The bathroom is always dirty . The place is not well maintained. Her attitude sucks she is always asking customers for favors.. do yourself a favor and go elsewhere

BewareSo unhappy...If I could give no stars - I would. The star given is for the braider, she did not braid tight but it feels secure. The owner, Christine went from pretend nice to craziness - definitely something was strange going on. I have to travel tomorrow to the UK & I'm very particular about my hair, I'm so disappointed. The hair has been in a ponytail since Sunday because I'm embrassed. First, I called the shop, i explained I wanted deep waves. Christine told me I could bring my hair or she has hair. She gave me both pricing. I said ok and was on my way. They wanted to start right away, I asked to view the hair. She presented one bundle. I said ok. While being braided, she was rambling under her desk; she later said, let me show you another type of her, she showed me and I said NO. The hair was curly, I did not want curly. She told me after I told her no, "think about it, you let me know". When she was ready to begin, she asked me again. I replied, I want the deep wave. At this point, I begin to think, why does she keep asking me this? Oh, I don't want to forget, the hair in my head is a reddish brown. She told me it comes this way. I asked if she could dye it, she replied, she is not a color expert and she didn't want to mess up the hair. I appreciated the honesty and asked could I dye it later, she said yes. Now she completes the install, mind you I want deep waves but she begins to flat I e.g. on and curl. I asked her why was she curling it, I didn't want curls. She expressed that the waves would fall in. The hair is now installed and now pressed and curled - I wanted no press or curl, I wanted deep waves. She asked me to look in the mirror - I looked in the mirror, I loved the color of the part and how it blended with my face. My hair, I inquired of the curls again. She said they will loosen up. Mind you, I'm not happy because I didn't want curls but I said ok, maybe she knows what will happen and how it will fall. Oh, on the right side there was a curved loop, i asked about it, she said oh it will go down once you tie it down. Also, the hair on each side started puffing up. But I'm thinking, at this price everything should be right, right now. Then she told me to use my bank card she has to charge me $20. I said what? I told her, you have to hold something because there is no way I'm paying $20 dollars. Then she said, you have to pay tax. I said what? She picked up a framed paper telling me she has to pay MD state tax, I told her I've never done that at a salon. I said isn't that included in pricing? After paying, I pulled out money to tip, I asked for change to tip the braider as well. She hesitated in giving the braided her tip, she asked her if she wanted it, the young woman said yes. I get home and I continue to view the hair. I pull the back forward and the hair has layers of black sandwiched between the other hair. I said maybe it's me, so that morning I asked my daughter to look. I didn't want it to be me. Ok, I tied the hair down and covered the rest. I awake and unwrap, all curls gone. In the mirror repeatedly hoping these waves would appear, no waves. So I called the shop. We were talking and all of a sudden she went from A to Z. I told her my her was two different colors, the sides and loop would not lay down, the hair didn't look new, it looked old, not the same from the bag. Not just that there were no deep waves. I sent her pictures. After the pictures she asked that I come in. My daughter was afraid for me to go after listening to her over the phone. I felt, she had to make it right or compensate w/money. She started w/attitude. She then said what do you want me to do, I don't give money back. I asked why i had two different color hair? She said I was helping you out cause you wanted it dyed. I said, what? She then said, never mind. Puffy sides, she said, what do expect, you have a short closure with long hair? I have more but out of space. She took majority black hair out but didn't replace it-isnt that stealing...I pd for the hair.

I was very happy (and still am) with my hair! Not only is the instillation good and natural looking, the stylist gave me a steam treatment which I desperately needed after having a prior instillation in for almost 2 months. I believe it's great customer service when a person goes above and beyond what is asked. I really appreciate her caring about my hair surviving and growing while being covered all the time. I've been searching for a stylist who believes in the "grew as you sew" phrase and not just giving you a weave but making sure your hair is taken care of underneath. On top of that the stylist was professional and nice! I gave 4 stars only because I struggled to find the salon which made me late for my appointment.
