Weave Cafe in Pikesville, MD

Cafe must be under new management because my experience was nothing like the recent reviews. I love my hair and I highly recommend the person who did it (John). The atmosphere was friendly and my hair was not braided too tight. I am very tender headed so the recent reviews really scared me. But, my head does not hurt, hair feels secured and looks sexy.

I have been a customer on and off for 4 years. The customer service is horrible. The stylist talk about inappropriate personal matters in front of customers. I had my weave turn out horrible 2 times. Thank God for YouTube and half weaves because I'm done with them.

I will say the girls there can really do hair. However the level of professionalism is not that great. For one the girls that's there are all young and they gossip and talk about their customers. Also they never try to find ways to accommodate their customers. Because there is not someone older over seeing this place of business .Anything goes! Not sure if I will be going back there in the near future.

In January I had major surgery that cause most of my hair to fall out, so I needed a good weavologist to make me who again. I called the Weave Café the location on Bel air Rd in Baltimore and was greeted over the phone with professionalism and pleasantry. The receptionist let me speak with the stylist Chideya who was able to answer my questions. I asked if I needed an appointment she told me no they take walk ins. So I left my home and went down to the shop was greeted again by the receptionist and introduced to the stylist Chideya. I am so glad that I made the decision to go an let her do my hair. I have been in Maryland now for 3 years and she is the first stylist that gave me what I wanted and brought a hug smile to my face. I would recommend her to all that want a professional do without the major spend. I had them wash my natural hair before the braid because it was in such bad shape. I brought a pic of myself with the hair style I am accustomed to and Bingo!~ this stylist make it happen. So if you looking to get the look and go home happy See My Girl Chideya and tell her Angel sent you to get the hookup!

Do not patronize this salon! There are very unprofessional, lack ethics and ratchet to the 10th Power! I called the Weave Café located on Reisterstown road and spoke with a stylist regarding getting my hair done for an event I was flying in from California to attend. The stylist and I in depth discussed what I wanted to get done, the hair type, the price, the procedures and was told in order to secure my spot, the day before to call in and pay her or the Manager for half of the procedure. The weekend before like instructed, I called the salon to confirm and secure my appointment and was told the salon now has two locations and my stylist no longer worked at the Reisterstown Road salon and to call the Manager at the Bel Air location. When I call the Manager she then located the stylist I had initially spoken with and confirmed that she would be at the Reisterstown Road location at 10am on Tuesday as discussed and to call the Reisterstown Road shop the next day to pay half of the procedure. The next day just like the Manager said, I called the Reisterstown Road salon to make payment. The person on the line puts me on hold and calls the Manager for verification of what I stated. She then restates what the Manger had told me; Tuesday, the stylist will be at the Reisterstown Road location at 10:00am but due to the credit card machine being down, to instead bring cash payment. I arrived promptly at 10:00am to the Reisterstown Road location only to find the stylist standing outside locked out! She calls for someone to come and unlock the salon. After 45 minutes of waiting the stylist then goes next door to see if the landlord has a key. Finally an hour and 10 minutes later the girl shows up to open the salon and is very unprofessional! Come to find out she's the very same person I spoke to when calling in to make half of the payment. She has the nerve to get snippy with me when she knowingly arrives over an hour late and get this; the salon also does NOT have the hair the stylist and I discussed! Due to me having to be to another appointment there was no time left in the day, before the event, to locate another salon to do my hair! I left a message for the Manager at the other shop regarding not being able to get in, to date I have not received an apology an explanation or anything! Again DO NOT patronize this shop! Presentation is everything! Based on the customer service I received I would be skeptical of the quality of weaves coming out of this shop!
