Lisa is wonderful and so kind to gently wash and blow-dry my long hair after I broke my wrist and had surgery. She and Woody have a nice, clean salon and if you're lucky, their two precious pugs, Biscuit & Jelly, will be visiting to joyfully greet you from inside their little fenced-off area. Highly recommend!

Best hairdresser ever. Seriously. I've had to move for various jobs and have driven and flown back into California just so Woody could do my hair. When I've lived in other places, I've had my hair done. It NEVER came close to the great color job that Wood does. You know that line? That line you get when your dye job (from other salons) grows out? Woody never put lines in my hair. If I couldn't get back to see him in time, the grow-out was a graduated change, not a line that needed an emergency touch up. And he doesn't brush color on and leave. He adjusts, checks, tunes, fusses, and makes sure your hair looks great. I can't live there, and I can't always fly in, but no one else makes me love my hair like Woody does. And the dogs are cute.

I happen to be the client in the hairdresser's chair at the time "Vanessa" came to the door. We were all wearing masks and the owner had obviously taken great pains to ensure social distancing, and he had disinfected all the surfaces. The woman who came to the door was unmasked, and my sense was that the hairdresser, who was in great demand from his existing clients who had waited for him to open up, already had back to back appointments. So I want to go on record that: A) I think her post is unfair, and B) this is a terrific place with excellent customer service, C) I got a great cut and color! W Woodruff - highly recommend

I have been a client of W Woodruff for over 20 years. The owners, Woody and Lisa, are highly trained and talented stylists. They are always up to date on the latest innovations with techniques and products. They know how to work with your hair to give you the best results. Over the years I've had a chunky bob, super-short pixie cut, layered mid-length with lots of highlights, and the past few years I have been loving my retro shoulder -length flip and shiny deep brown color. No matter what I'm looking for, Woody has delivered. Woody recommended Brazilian Blowout several years ago and I am so happy he did! It would be almost impossible to have my current hairstyle without that deep conditioning and smoothing. Highly recommend this wonderful salon. I find it unbelievable that a non-customer reviewed this salon as 1 star claiming the owner is rude. Over 20 years I have found Woody and Lisa to be so kind and their service so personal. I know the salon is crazy busy with appointments after their recent reopening. If someone wants to support local business, they should be patient and understanding during this pandemic. Call for an appointment if you want to help a local business. It is RUDE to post an awful review because the owner of the shop was busy with clients.

I've been a client of Woody's for over 20 years. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of his clients are long-term ones. From years of experience with him, I can say that he's a total perfectionist with hair, and he strives to make his clients happy. I have a TON of hair that takes a long time for him to do, yet he has charged me the same price for 2 decades and does an excellent job every time. I was SHOCKED to see that he had gotten a 1-star review and that the person said that Woody was rude to her. In the many hours I've been in his shop, I've seen some real jerks walk in and demand something that he wasn't able to give them in that exact moment (because his clients DO come first). Never in all of those encounters was he anything less than polite and professional. I thought there must be more to the story. Sure enough, this reviewer rants a LOT and hands out one-star reviews 60% of the time. In one review, she complained about the tattoo shop's tattoo guy being covered head to toe in tattoos. Must be rough being so bitter! Thankfully, good people like Woody and Lisa and good local businesses like W. Woodruff's make up for the mean, sucky people!
