Volume The Salon in Urbana, OH

I will never go back. We were the only clients in the store, bur neither one of our stylists was paying any attention. My friend got half her faced dyed (not an exaggeration) because the stylist was half-assing the whole process, and neither one of our colors came out ANYTHING like what we asked for. Not even in the same ballpark! I also tried to compliment the owner on her hair while I was there but she gave me the biggest side eye and didn't even say anything. Then I asked my stylist to diffuse my hair (I have curly hair) and I left with the worst my hair as ever looked. Then when I got home I realized she forgot to do my roots so I had patches of bleach blonde throughout my naturally dark roots. My friend was told her color was permanent, but it almost completely washed out in 2 weeks! She also had her hair bleached so it was just this patchy mess of...I don't even know what. The huge price you pay if for how trendy the store is but it stops there. Last time I had any color done to my hair I had it done at great clips and they did 100% better, so go there an save yourself the money.

Great Salon, very clean staff are always friendly and attentive. I have had trouble finding good consistency in hairstylists since I moved here from New York. I visit about every 3 months for cut and color. Erin does a great job color matching and consistently giving me the color I want. All of the girls in the shop are very talented. I wish they ran some more color specials. But you do get a free style with your color. Overall great quality of Salon, highly recommend them.

I took the day off work for my birthday. Me and my 9 year old daughter went to get our haircut to start the day. Her hair was tangled, she is 9. The stylist spent 30 min shaming her. She cried when she got to the car. Worst experiance I have ever had at a salon.

If you're considering this salon, just don't. They use fake profiles to leave reviews. Good ones for themselves and bad ones for other salons in the area, or where ever an ex employee might be working. They're not honest, and after a post of mass exposure, I wouldn't ever risk getting my hair done here. They attack people, not physically (well unless you're Chad) but online bullying. It's not okay on any level.

I have been to the Volume Salon several times. The employees are always extremely friendly and the ambiance is really sweet. I just had my hair trimmed by Mariah. She is very sweet and made sure I was comfortable as I sat while she trimmed and talked with me. Mariah is usually the one that I see because I love her personality and she gives me great advice on how to manage my hair and what products work best. I'm heading to Barbados in June for my wedding I'm going to have her do highlights and a Brazilian Blowout. Stay tuned for pictures.
