Vi nails in Port Jervis, NY

I went here because it was closer to my house than my previous place and it was cheaper. There was only 1 girl working,doing a pedicure. I dont mind waiting,but she left that poor lady whose feet was still in the water the whole time she did my gel fill. Never sanitized anything. No autoclave in sight. Equipment looked like it was used .Nail dust everywhere. I usually am asked to wash my hands at some point. Nope. Never told me to. Didn't see a sink. When she filed my nails,she also filed my skin. When I got into my car ,I couldn't wait to put hand sanitizer on! Won't be going back. I guess I learned my lesson,you get what you pay for.

I called here to make a pedicure appt for a Saturday morning that was 2 weeks away. The woman who answered said "might not be open that Saturday. I don't know". So I say what about the Thursday before.... she says "no, that's not good".... She offers the Friday before at 9:30 am.... I say GREAT.... I'll see you then. Here I am .... In front of their business and it's closed..... no one there. Figuring I'd be the first appoint because they open at 9:30 and maybe someone overslept.... I wait..... so far no one has showed up. I'm pretty disappointed as this is

This place is probably fine for solid colored nails or very simple nails. The technician was nice. That being said I went in for a fill I get pink and white ombré. Usually I do 2-3 fills on the pink every 4th fill is pink and white. The place I go was quite far so I figured what could it hurt. One of my hands is pink and white, the other is solid pink. One of my hands the nails were extremely long, the other very short. I tried to bring this up and was told I asked for pink so I get pink fill. Completely disregarding the fact born my hands looked entirely different and the nails were not only different colors but entirely different lengths. I am not one to complain about details with my nails I never have in my life. But one of them is very crooked with a bubble as well. When I asked if they could all be the same length the technician seemed stunned. She did attempt to even them out but even still the length and shape is not really the same on both hands. And when I asked why both hands looked so different in color I was told it was my fault for asking for a pink fill. If the pink is layered thin enough the white still shows and even if this was not possible for her skill level, I would have paid more for additional white also, but there was so much white on the end of my nail I never imagined it would be needed. I was the most stunned at the price. The places I've gotten this done were never more than 30 for a pink fill, 40 for pink and white. The fill only pink was 40 dollars and it looked worse than before the fill. She offered to paint over the ends of my nails with white but I declined as I don't like the painted French look and she said it was going to be an additional up charge. I don't mind paying for quality, but paying that price for a service that was sub par and a technician who was not much concerned about the aesthetic look of the nails beyond just doing the bare minimum and saying good enough. Unless there is some serious reevaluation of the pricing for the quality of the services here I don't see how this place could survive long term. Again tech was very nice but very defensive about her work because the quality was just not there. Probably good for pedicures and paint, maybe gel but for the prices...maybe not. I wish this place luck, I hope it gets better - but for now I'll be back to driving a half hour to my old place.

This place is hit or miss but the price is reasonable. I'm usually in and out which I like.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I brought my niece to get our nails done and hers were only half painted and I had to ask TWICE and they yelled at her about it. I asked my nails to be squared off MULTIPLE times and showed a photo and they are rounded. When I went to pay even the lady said oh they're not rounded and I was like yes I know she wouldn't square them. It'd been an hour and a half at this point and she offered to try and fix them which would've taken even longer and my nails would've been even shorter so I said no I just want to leave I'm not happy with these nails I am not paying full price for this. I kept trying to give them my card to charge me for my nieces or even $50 but not SEVENTY FIVE for completely sub par nails?? And THEN as we're interacting the woman TRIED TO TAKE MY PHONE OFF THE COUNTER so I had to grab it away from her. I ended up leaving and didn't pay a cent to those awful people EVEN THOUGH I tried to pay MULTIPLE times. They then proceeded to follow us outside and took photos of our vehicle. I will absolutely be filing a police report. OH and they also don't provide a restroom for customers which is ILLEGAL and will also be reported. For the love of god GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
